I got an xB a few months ago as a replacement for my old, trusty Ford Escape and I have to say, I love that little thing as a daily driver. Aside from having to to a rear brake job, replace a wheel bearing, and an oxygen sensor, its a damn good car. Still can't get the driver's side rear seat to fold down though...

I have a silver '05. Bought it new and had a PDR guy do a very good job last year in a very bad spot above the right rear door. Had cruise control put in a few months ago, finally. Only 73K miles so far, and I hope to keep it until the end of time. Don't ever part with that car, because it cannot be replaced!

I have swapped the actuators on my xb1 and they still get stuck in the heat. It's a bad design. So, I found spraying some white lithium grease down the small gap on the door lock pull lubes enough to reduce the friction. Works perfectly and quick.

Yep those are the OEM wheels. There was that option and the 18" wheel option other than the different hubcaps.

You just need a stubby Philips screwdriver to remove the door actuators, its a tight fit but besides detaching the clip that links the actuator to the door lock rod, that is it. No need to remove anything else.

Love these videos however, what if I want it all EXCEPT lowering an already low clearance ride. Any Scion groups with mild lifts or off roaders? I can NOT have a lowered car, we have driveways to drive up and driveways to drive down, speedbumps to deal with and poor roads in town to deal with, of the occasional beach access only roads, AKA: Real life roads. All lowered cars here end up rattling to shyte until it's a parts car. Your guidance, or anyone, would be greatly appreciated. Mild lift, good handling, peppy engine though a Toyota V6 swap from a Camry or Avalon would be considered. Good sized wheels however, they MUST be limited to the factory fender well. Anyone?

I lived in NJ for 30 years. I could teach a 4 credit college course on bad roads. I've been driving lowered vehicles since 93. You have to learn how to drive a lowered car. There is a skill to it. Once you do, you can drive them anywhere and in any state. Thanks for watching.
