Scituate community rallies after fire damages home of family facing ALS battle

A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in a home on Silk Lane in Scituate.
NBC 10 has learned that the owner of the home is a Cranston firefighter on leave to take care of his wife who has ALS.
“It’s pretty bad, I don’t know if they will be able to save the house,” said Ralph Fazio of Scituate. “I hate to see people go through that.”
