Thanks for walking through this for me. I'm setting up a STEM class so kids can build this and learn about robotic arms and everything that goes into them.

Mate, I mean the video is good.. but you could have edited it so the mistakes were fixed, rather than tell us after we have already assembled the robot lol and stop whispering..it’s creepy. But thanks for the upload, helped me out 👍🏻

lol! You're welcome, I am glad it helped! Yes you are right, I should have waited. I wanted to build it as soon as possible and upload it as soon as possible. But I guess I was going too fast with the video production. But if I added the mistakes it would have made the video too long. Sorry about the whispering part. I normally I mute the audio and replace it with a voice over for exactly for the reason.

Thank you for making this but it would've helped more if had you mentioned what sized bolts you used as you went through the build. I'm only 8 minutes through the video. I hope I'm using the correct ones. I would hate to have to tear it down and have to rebuild it later.

At 3:20 its a bearing I dont think its being used correctly for a bearing. It seems to be pressed up against the metal which kinda eliminates the point of a bearing
@USMC63673 жыл бұрын
I do not think it is being used as a real bearing because the hole in the servo mount is bigger that the bearing and there is an air gap between the servo mount and the "bearing" therefore rendering their relationship as a real bearing a moot point.

How much supply needed?
@SciTyeTech2 жыл бұрын
That would be 5v.
@melihapa38843 жыл бұрын
Hello .. Thank you very much for your effort. I think 5 dof would be enough instead of 6 dof. It seemed to me that 3 DOF designs in the same direction make it cumbersome. Your video will be very useful.

Great man thanks, very much. The soft voice got to me at first, but once I got used to it it was fine. Fortunately I watched the video all the way through before I started my build. You did not mention anything about strength. Can you give us an idea (or another video) showing things you do with the arm.
@SciTyeTech4 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! lol! I think I have that affect on a lot of people. This robotic arm appears to lift about 500 grams, but the claw seems to not be as strong. I would suggest that you use stronger servos for this project.
