I just bought a Road King, haven ridden in 20 years. I was scared to death of it But now after about 5 days of putting town miles on it and doing maneuvers at the truck stop out of traffic I really like it It’s beautiful I would like a fairing and trunk with backrest for my wife But it is nice

I have the Road King FLHR. I got the Chest open for new Feuling Oil Pump, new quickie pushrods, new S&S tappet guides, racing hp Lifters, and a 465 new cam with new gaskets and O-Rings. The Equity just went up on Thunder.😎

I bought a 2018 road king its incredible, best motorcycle ive owned, and ive had 3 bmw's, the cores burn out and it starts to sound very nice. Home run Harley Davidson. Get fork fairings it helps immensely. They have different size fairings. The stock one is perfect for me at 5'11"

I’m a little guy, 5’ 7” and 170 lbs. I find it very easy to ride under any conditions. It is also very comfortable. It is a big bike but the absence of a fairing makes it seems smaller than it really is.

I bought my 09 Road King new and it had a windshield like this. I swapped it for one in the proper size. I don’t have any problems with buffeting.

it does, the switch right below the left mirror should show it. Your left pointer finger knuckle was beside it, if I remember correctly. I am going to buy a touring bike with a fairing but I am going to buy a Standard Road King to ride around town as well. I love the look of that bike. It has the classic Harley look to it and is the only bike I want with chrome.

Great video mate. Finally another Aussie making great videos on Harley's. Until recently the best was Dave Cohen (but he's actually a bloody Kiwi) in my opinion. Anyway, very informative, the wife and I would love to be able to purchase a Road King. But until the funds allow, we'll just settle for the faithful VStrom.

Gday mate totally agree I own a 2014 rk the windscreen was right at eye level so I got it professionally shortened to 17inches now the buffeting nearly takes my head off, so now ride without a screen

like your reviews as not many from aus and as you rode both the road king and street glide which did you find more enjoyable to ride not taking into account all the tech stuff on the street glide. interested in your thoughts.

Putting the tech stuff aside, the Road King is a better ride in my opinion. Seems more nimble plus I like the idea of taking the detachable windshield off on a warm day cruising around town. Cheers 👍

I have a 2012 RK and I have the Windsplitter windscreen on mine. You dont look through that one cause it's lower and I get no wind buffetting, could be cause I wear a half helmet. Good videos! Happy trails!

I did on the Sunshine Coast a few months back , and if I had the money I get one. So comfortable and smooth and shit loads of power and down low grunt. And the quick shifter sweet , I ride a 2004 road king and dew to up date so maybe to bmw is my next toy 😁

Any Road King standard immediately requires new bars, air intake, slip ons and seat. Once you do this, you've transformed your King into a sweet ass sled! Now take off the windshield, quit your sniveling and get out and ride!

Took one for a test ride about a year ago. Love the retro look. I'm not a cruiser rider, so far but I thought it road really nicely. Took a bit of getting used to. The screen didn't bother me at all but I might be shorter. There are two other sizes. I don't think it's too blingy, the older ones had a lot more chrome. Indian go crazy over chrome and I think it really spoils it. Of course lately they have gone totally the other way and, horsed for courses, to me looks really ugly. The Road King Special I loved on the photos but not in the flesh. It's all personal taste.
