What was your fix when you took the plate screw out, were you able to get it back in and stay?

I bought one off galley of guns and the threaded barrel is definitely not 1/2x28 and Armscor won’t return emails…..since your other video shows you added a flash hider….what is the exact size of the threads? I’m looking for an adapter will I need for my 1/2x28 suppressor but I need the exact size. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your experience, sorry about that bolt 😅 we'll be sure NOT to remove that bolt. I just ordered mine so I'll have it in another week or so. Kudos!

I wish you would have taken the trigger apart cause my trigger socket spring flew out while I was taking it apart I’ve had problems with the trigger and didn’t know what it was till I took it apart. Idk how to get the trigger out so that I can put the socket spring back in to hold my trigger in place. If you got any tips I’d love to know cause I’m clueless

Which endplate works with this thing? I swapped out that garbage stock for the commercial spec buffer tube and Magpul stock but that damn screw in the back of the rifle doesn’t work with any end plates I’ve tried. Unless you maybe drill a hole to get the end plate flush but I don’t have a drill press…

Thank god I watched this first. Sticking with my Rossi RS 22 with my installed magpul folding stock and 25 round round mag from mossberg 702 plinkster. Awesome 22lr rifle and set-up.

Agreed. Nobody makes a 22lr semi auto that comes apart easily. SUCKS.

Any chance you can tell me the inside diameter of the hands guard ? wondering how large of a barrel shroud I can make for it.

For some reason my barrel nut is not loosening at all. The tool is digging into the barrel nut I did put 150 rounds in it but that was an hour ago.
@bosshog7790 Жыл бұрын
A gorilla installed my barrel nut too. Probably have to send back to RIA to loosen or try to heat the barrel nut to expand, then loosen.

Did you just buy buffer tube or did you get buffer tube kit??

Apparently you got an early model and it also appears RIA listened, because mine was finger tight. I took my thumb and finger and it easily unscrewed but I did not want to go more than one full turn because it felt like there was some sort of spring in there. Maybe why the screw has a pin shaft? What did you find inside when you removed the screw? I have an A2 buttstock coming The butt stock has an 'outie' plastic nub that is suppose to go into a hole(where the screw is) once the stock is shoved forward, so I think I need to shave off that plastic nub and drill a hole the diameter of the head of that screw for the stock to slide over. I thought about removing the screw and tapping the hole to the same size as the nub on the buttstock but I feel that special screw has something to do with the internals. Tell me I'm wrong. I feel you would know since you did a disassembly. Thanks for your time.

Mine was a quiet voluntary recall. I wish I could help. I remember the rifle. But I don't remember the disassembly. Be Safe Tim

@@sclegalcarry7979 Hey, I got my Leapers UTG A2 buttstock yesterday and installed it!!!! What a change! Wasn't easy. You have to locate dead center where that screw hits on that plastic nub and drill through the plastic nub until you enter the area just past it so you find the mark once you shave off that plastic nub. After you carefully shave off that nub with a Dremel, you test fit again and drill out the diameter of that screw. I used blue Loctite on the buffer tube and the screw to secure the buttstock to it. No regrets here! Being 6' 4", I needed that extra 1- 1/2" and I like traditional looking buttstocks since I lived with an M16- A1 while in the Marine Corps.. BUT, I did not want to use the A1 buttstock because it's approx. 1-1/4" shorter than the A2. I've mounted a remote field light, bipod, forward skeletal grip ) soon to get a rear one to match), and a 7.1" 'competition' , fake compensator for extra looking barrel length.. Next, a great scope. I sure wish KZbin allowed photos to be posted on their channel since this is basically a forum of many on one channel. It looks like a 5.56 with that beautiful bull barrel. Have a great day!

Might as well put a 1” washer between the buffer tube and the rubber washer behind the bolt stop. Eventually you’ll have a bent or broken charging handle after the bolt stop beats the washer back into the buffer tube after repeated firing. Save yourself the trouble and put one in there! Especially if you already have the buffer tube removed! You’ll be doing this sooner or later. Depending on how many rounds you put through it!

REMOVE THE PLATE BEFORE TRYING TO REMOVE THE SCREW!!! If you look very carefully, the plate is retaining the screw. It's not that the screw is so soft, it's that the plate locks this screw in place so that it cannot work loose. If you remove the plate first, the screw will come out easily. That said, a plate is not necessary. If you don't re-install the plate, be sure to use some vibra-tite or similar compound so that the screw does not come loose. It retains a spring that is needed. And I've read some places that any commercial spec buffer tube will work. This is incorrect. The receiver is threaded for a mil-spec AR receiver tube. Hopefully that saves someone the trouble of buying the wrong parts.

Thank you for this. Went to install new buffer tube and the ria end plate would not fit on the new buffer tube and got disappointed that I needed a new end plate and had not realized beforehand. Now I can finish my install tomorrow vs having to wait for different endplate.
