I've been separated about 6 years now. My question is how do I prove I served him if idk where he is? All I know is he's in another state his family won't tell me anything and they will not give him the paper for me. Is serving their last known address enough ? And if so how exactly does that work?

Hello and thank you for your comment! We are not able to provide individual advice here, however we encourage you to call our statewide intake office at 1-888-346-5592 if you need assistance. We also have an option to apply online for certain legal issues at www.lawhelp.org/sc/online-intake. If you are not located in SC (where we are located), we encourage you to find the Legal Services provider closest to you by visiting www.lsc.gov and choosing the "Find Legal Aid" option in the top right corner. This will provide legal resources for those who may not be able to afford an attorney. Eligibility for assistance through SCLS depends on your income and assets, as well as the type of legal problem you have. We cannot guarantee that every application will be accepted for legal representation. Thank you for reaching out! We hope that we will be able to help!
