This is what I got from this show: The guy meets 8 scientists who say that the IQ gap exists due to genetics ( 3 of the 8 are the Nobel Prize winners ), and he meets other 3 random ppl ( one of them is a serious scientist ) who say that the IQ gap is the environmental phenomena, so he concluded the show by deciding that the 3 random ppl who gave no evidence at all, are right by claiming the environmental theory. 🤔

@Mark, I am triggered because I have taught kids that were presumed to be dull, and I find out it's all about attitude, teacher training and giving kids quality nursery education. And in every part of the world I've lectured, everything is tied to what you were exposed to as a kid. Kids with educated parents that love education always seem to do ok. So, you can't say because of the greed of political players in developing countries that have significantly hampered the education system in those nations that the race is dumber. Benjamin Franklin went to a school for white kids, and that of black kids, and concluded they develop in the same way. Now, look at the quality of schools in black communities and that of the white community in America. A walk around those facilities will make you see that the black public schools are way underfunded unlike their white counterparts. When did segregation end? How far have black schools grown? This problem is deeper than this shit. This thing is disgusting. Because, at the end of the day, we all know it boils down to racism, instead simple truths that should set us all free.

Unfortunately a psychologist recently set out to prove that the average IQ of Africans is not 70 as had been claimed. He went to an African university and performed tests on the students. University students are usually one standard deviation higher than the population average. Having tested hundreds of students the average IQ of the students was 85, which is one standard deviation higher than 70. I have an IQ around 140. I came from a working class background born in the 1950s. My mother was low IQ my father was clever evidenced by his engineering abilities. There was an assumption back then that working class kids would not go to university. I now lecture in a University. I had no input from my parents as my dad was always working and my mum was incapable of helping me with homework. Nature versus nurture didn't work for me.

What I find most interesting about this subject is the fact that it is a KNOWN fact that the gap exists and complete inability to refute the evidence in any meaningful manner. This entire episode was a utter waste of time because it was only focused on finding anything that could be used as an excuse to ignore the evidence rather than provide counter evidence for consideration. The cold hard facts are that there is something going on and when you omit important aspects such as the results of the tests conducted at the finest universities in Africa and South Africa the results are the same as what the bell curve predicts which shoots a huge whole in the whole environmental claim that this program sunk its heels into.

I believe Blacks have equal IQ potential at birth as us fat old white guys had. The factors that keep them from achieving their IQ potential are well known. Here are some of them: 1. substandard prenatal care. 2. Inadequate / unbalanced diet. 3. Inadequate parenting. Children need both parents, especially boys. Marriage is something we do to protect children. Whitey encouraging welfare single moms to have kids out of wedlock with more welfare money isn't charity. The "projects" are nothing more than a vertical reservation system to keep you "in your place" so you could not compete with whites. If all a child's parent(s) do is watch TV, then that is what the kid learns. It won't get them a job. Remember Levitt town? Homes were only sold to whites. Thus began the apartheid of suburbia. 4. Not graduating from High school (note: It frosts me that the highest paid teachers have the easiest students to teach - who do you think the lower paid ones end up having as "students".) 5. Discouraging achievement. It is not "white" to learn how to compete - especially if you can excel. 6. Not working with each other and the police to rid your neighborhoods of crime. 7. Speculation: Not having a large enough inventory of appropriate life affirming activities that cause the release of dopamine. These would be activities such as eating, sex, drugs, playing the hoops, the high of gang activities - especially fighting. In spite of our Constitution, it is not unusual for blacks to be treated cruelly, especially in prison. It is a very invisible cruelty. We need prison reform that emphasizes learning life affirming ways that will contribute to success in the job market and social life to get your daily dopamine. The return rate of inmates is because they only know the ways to get their daily they had before they went to prison before. In prison, they end up on a dopamine starvation diet, like the Nazis did with the Jews. It's like denying children vitamin D resulting in deformed bones. 8. To be happy in life requires one to develop a sense of mastery and autonomy. Work together for the good you can only achieve together. Have your gangs but let them dedicate themselves to work in the community to better the community. Warning: Too many white parents with the means are giving their kids whatever they "want". They are being raised as pets. We will soon have too many feral, adult, functional sociopaths to maintain a viable society. NOW is the time to start loving your children and each other. Put that banner in every school and see what happens.

He finally got to the crux at the end of the video. IQ is a measure of certain cognitive abilities that enable people to better adapt and excel in our more abstract modern society. Environment can sway these cognitive abilities but not alter the underlying genetic hardwired basis. The sooner we acknowledge these differences, the better off everyone will be. This supposed researcher is extremely predisposed to reverse prejudice. He is searching for confirmation of his pet idea that IQ is inaccurate. Some high IQ guys learn 4 language before age of 5, do differential equations, calculus, and physics prior to age 8. This researcher should search out these guys and ask them their opinions and reasoning rather than ask other low IQ people about their biased opinions against tests that show them as NOT gifted. Don't interview the "man on the street" as to their opinions and theories--how valuable can these be? My senior year in college I was in anthropology class and the teacher said that there is no genetic/ heritable basis to IQ. I raised my hand and asked him to please clarify because at that time I just assumed it was absolutely understood that parents who have high IQs will usually have children that have high IQs and that just like eye color and height IQ was absolutely hereditary. A bunch of people in the class got really pissed off at me and told me that I was being incredibly rude and disrespectful for saying that IQ was hereditary. The teacher then told me that any person with sufficient training could be a theoretical physicist lol. I live in California in Silicon Valley and I’m surrounded by ridiculous radical leftists who believe this nonsense.

First off: there definitely seems to be an IQ gap...this video has multiple points where it makes that clear. Second off: I really dislike how they've somehow pinned it all on culture. "It's all culture's fault!!" This may be feasible, don't get me wrong. We don't have enough evidence of genetics, over environment (bar the studies of twins that everyone seems to dismiss for some reason...); but you've to be dense to blame this on white culture. I see zero evidence where it's the white communities fault that black parents don't race their kids with the same equality as whites do. If it's an environmental problem, there is nothing that policy can fix, at this point. It's going to take the black culture to address this problem, from the inside out.

I found the comments quite interesting. I look at many KZbin videos and regularly read the comments. What's interesting to me about a video about IQ's are the grammatical errors, misspellings, run-on sentences and lack of proper punctuation within its comment section. This is no different from most comments on other KZbin videos. However, I would have expected better writing skills here since the video has references to being smart. This should offer food for thought. If we were to apply some overall score for simple writing skills in these and other comment sections of KZbin videos from the general population, that intelligence quotient would realistically be pretty low. In essence, I would have expected that writing and communication of ideas and thoughts from those opining on the subject of intelligence would be, well, more intelligent. Some comments were well written and conveyed nice, coherent and share-worthy ideas. But, for the most part, far too many pointed to a lower than average IQ. But, I always like to read the humorous comments. I believe humor is a sign of intelligence! Maybe this is where the term, "smartass" originated - an annoying, know-it-all, but smart none the less.

I am an educational therapist who has been reviewing and doing cognitive testing for 25 years … Yes, I agree there is an environmental component to IQ, but my clinical experience also have seen that there is also an innate, genetic component … When I review the data (3 test reports) over a 6 year period of a dyslexic student, I have observed that the Verbal IQ drops … I know why … Up to the age of 8 language development depends on oral language (mostly from exposure to parents --primary care-givers), but after 8, it depends on reading print. If a dyslexic has not had remediation of decoding skills, he/she does not read the same volume of print as a proficient reader. Also, data shows that people who read more have higher Verbal IQs. As a learning disabilities specialist, I take a detailed history on my clients. Almost 100% report a history of some other family member (parent, sibling, cousin, grandparent) displaying the same or other "learning difficulty." My experience is that learning abilities (and disabilities) are inherited.

In California public schools, we have to give a lower passing score on the non verbal, pattern based intelligence test to Blacks and Mexicans than to Whites and Asians. This is the same puzzle pattern test we use in elementary school. I see that blacks and Hispanics grow up with less meaningful parental interaction, almost none in many cases. When I lived in Mexico, I saw the same thing in the wealthy families of my friends. No books, no emphasis on education, servants in charge of the kids. The Stanford Binet is still utilized in school psychological testing. These are my personal observations as an educator in bilingual education and my own Mexican children.

The tonal aspect of languages such as chinese is very cumbersome deterring polysyllabilism. chinese is very clumsy for synthesizing new words. the only language which comes any way close to sanskrit is latin of the modern languages, russian has similarities also with sanskrit eg russian, sanskrit and latin dont have the words "a" and "the", and they often omit personal pronouns because the verb declension tells you which pronoun. as regards intelligence, the different black races need to be studied separately as also do the different white races. White people arent all the same race, eg Hitler believed that blonde germans were superior to all other white races, he wanted to replace all the people of europe by blonde germans, his idea of lebensraum. Himmler wanted to change the policy to include non german blondes. in fact the idea of blondeness is a bit of a false idea, because in northern europe a lot of dark haired people are blonde when they are children, and as they grow older their hair darkens. Hitler also thought that blonde germans were physically superior to all races, but Jesse Owens lanced that boil by getting several gold medals and outrunning the allegedly superior blonde race. Hitler himself was partially jewish and was politically superior to all the blonde germans who would blindly prostrate themselves to him! examples of different white races: slavs, danes, latinnics, celts, picts, finns in anglo saxon societies such as england and the US, the scots tend to gravitate to the top of business and politics, eg Trump is half scottish, and a lot of US billionaires are scots. the finns, hungarians and turks are in fact the same group and are descended from Genghis Khans mongolian hordes. their languages are closely related and are based on the same vowel harmony principles. their languages are called agglutinative languages, where words are modified by suffices. These 3 languages also use vowel harmony where with a suffix, each vowel is modified to harmonize with the earlier vowel leading to more gradual vowel changes. Whereas aryan languages have much more vowel dexterity. latin and sanskrit are much more sophisticated by using both prefices and suffices. eg in english the latin based word internationalism is inter- nation -al -ism, the core word is nation, with one prefix and 2 suffices. To only use suffices is clumsy and unbalanced. english is in fact a relatively deficient language and only has expressive power via a lot of borrowing from latin and greek and a lot of idiomatic uses. it is a big mistake to identify colour with race. each race has its own intelligence, where they outdo other races, I recommend watching the film Crocodile Dundee and the sequel which discuss some of the abilities of the australian aborigines, remember they invented the boomerang whereas no other race invented such a weapon which returns if it doesnt hit the target, saves a lot of energy. also watch "The gods must be crazy" and sequels about the ingenuity of the bushmen of the kalahari. Use logic to make your judgement. Look around how people live, see their performance in school and in life, put aside all bias, check the statistics, if you do that you will have all the facts needed to make your own independent decision whether IQ is only related to poverty, or mostly related to biological reasons. I think biology has a huge role in people's IQ. Blacks on average have smaller brain size than Asians and whites, this is a fact, which plays a huge role in the IQ difference between blacks Asians and whites. Environment plays a role of course, but not as much as the politicians, the liberals and the snowflakes want us to believe.

The Bell Curve by Charles Murray clearly shows that IQ is the strongest predictor of life success and that IQ is an indicator of General Intelligence which is not situation or subject specific (though as IQ rises so does specialisation)

At a recent cultural awareness seminar the instructor told us about ISLAND TIME. meaning that blacks from the Caribbean islands refuse to follow western standards like showing to work when scheduled. There's no "debate" on this topic, it's LONG since been settled that there IS a very strong correlation between race & IQ. ”G” is just a correlation between a bunch of IQ test scores. IQ is about being a good abstract thinker, which (like all important skills) has a huge environmentally acquired component. It is taught from birth in our abstraction-saturated culture. Even a cursory glance at history shows that the “achievement” levels of nations or civilizations change massively for purely cultural and situational reasons. Through much of the 20th century China was more of a hellhole than Africa is now, but I don’t think those guys are dumb. Generally, people who make a huge deal about IQ are Mensa types without many achievements of their own to point to who like to feel superior to others. Such types are all over the net. “If someone values modern-economy-type settings, and thinks only in terms of succeeding in such a thing, and orders all other people only according to how well they succeed in such a setting, this is OK of course.” Maybe less OK if those who order others according to how well they succeed in a modern setting have a history of committing mass murder against those they consider to be among the lower orders. I've taught in public schools, went to integrated public schools, played sports with mostly black teammates. I agree that intelligence tests dint give an accurate assessment of how smart you are but it does accurately reflect how prepared you are to succeed in the current economy. I told parents of my kids the same things that you brought up in this video. Most are single parent homes where the mother is primary and not working. Most didn't graduate or barely did. Many had never worked and didn't value education when they went to school and felt unprepared to help their child with homework. Most felt out of place at school meetings. And most importantly felt admitting this to their child was humiliating. There is no easy answer to many of these issues. But I told my kids parents that all they could do was fake it till you can make it.

I like how we mentioned the twin studies, and then pretended they didn’t happen. Lovely. The real issue with the race discussion is where we draw the lines as to whom belongs in what racial category. I am of Italian, Spaniard, Native American, Irish, and British heritage. I doubt I, or most in the modern world would so neatly fit in a category. Most consider me Hispanic in America, but let’s remember Hispanic isn’t a race. And let’s also remember that most identify by looks. I have tan skin, brown eyes, and dark hair, so most consider me Hispanic, but I am more Irish than any other one thing. It all gets very complex on a personal level. What we should do is research this topic more, analyze ourselves on the genetic level, and then ask ourselves what we can all do as individuals to better ourselves, and our communities.

I mean it's obvious that European Americans receive more attention and stimulation as children than African Americans do (you know while their IQ's are still in development before they can be properly tested). I was raised by "European" Americans and my IQ is 120. I can say with confidence that it was largely environmental. Europeans in any Western society where they are economically and socially advantaged have the benefit of extra resources such as wealth and education. This is just common sense. I spent my first four years (about 70% of the time) at home being read to and encouraged to develop my fine motor skills. This is not a luxury afforded to the majority of African American children. Their parents often times put them in the most convenient least expensive daycare due to financial parameters. I was in daycare maybe 2 days a week and it was a private daycare. That means my mother was paying for 5 days of private day care and only utilizing 2 out of 5 based on my developing needs and my grandparent's schedule. My grandmother was a retired elementary school teacher. I'm aware many AA children also spend time being looked after by grandparents, but we would have to assume that the grandparents received a solid education to impart those essential skills to their grandchildren. In America we know this is not the case. The grandparents of these children if they are lucky enough to have the money accumulated to retire by 65 did not receive a solid education. Remember segregation guys? Your grandparents were alive during this time period. My mother was finishing up her Master's and we all know grandparents offer to look after grandchildren. I attended a handpicked preschool with only 6 children in the grade (I looked back at some baby pictures). I spent almost my entire primary and high school education in class sizes no large than ten to twelve students on average. Everyone around me had well educated and financially comfortable parents. A dynamic all too familiar to European Americans and not a common experience for the majority of immigrant and African American communities. This dynamic is vastly changing however, which is why so many European Americans are complaining that they are being replaced by less competent minorities. When in actuality a lot of minorities are simply experiencing educational benefits formerly enjoyed by European Americans. It also means many European Americans are now receiving substandard educations similar to what was formerly reserved for minority communities. I'm only going to say this once. If you think your European American child deserves a seat in a college of their choice simply because they matriculated through the public school system with a decent grade point average, you are delusional. If your child spends the majority of their time on their iPhone rather than reading books for fun than it's probably your child's ineptitude and not some nameless faceless minority stealing their chances in life. I was reading and spelling by two years old. I was reading Tolkien by age 9. I was attempting to write fantasy epics in my spare time by age fourteen. I'm not saying that I am special or unique. I'm simply pointing out that I can't even count the number of European American children I know who can barely construct a well written sentence or paragraph. Not because they have a low IQ, but because they have received a terrible education. Oftentimes even if the parents of these European American children send them to overcrowded public schools they still have the benefit of well educated parents in their formative years. I have been informed by many a gawking racist that 120 is on the "a little above average" side. Yet when you compare the scores of my adoptive parents to my own it doesn't seem above average at all. It seems within range of my environment. My mother who is a European American is tested at 121. I do not think it is a coincidence that my adoptive mother and I are within one point of each other. Environment plays a pivotal role in the formulation of IQ. In white spaces I was taught how to think and how to express my supposed intelligence in ways white people prefer for it to be expressed. My IQ scores reflect this training. Surround every African American child with access to resources, wealth and education and watch the IQ gap narrow and eventually close. I'm aware that IQ doesn't just measure language proficiency, but I'm using the myths about race and intelligence to drive a point home. I just recently retested my IQ in a few different spots online and I received 118-130 multiple times. One thing that is interesting about those tests is that there are many questions related to vocabulary. If African Americans are receiving such poor educational care in the United States how can they possibly figure out what the questions are asking them to do?

The central question was what cause difference in different races, but then the question conveniently shifted to what cause educational differences in different races. Those are not the same question. The first question can be determined by testing, and twin studies, while the second is much more complicated. Those are not the same question.
