I'm not sure if he did this on purpose, but having so much amazing unreleased music on KZbin for people to discover has given this band a whole other dimension... this is by far the best band to come out in the last 10 years.

@@jleak4881 their music is very derivative now which signals to me that they are worrying more about booking big gigs and getting radio time instead of making interesting music. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time a music artist has fallen victim to it.

@@Over_Toasted well Kevin has on numerous accounts shared about his anxiety and doubts of being in the spot light. His new song just shows part of it too. His own dad told him that music as a profession was soul crushing and that the music industry would lose interest and hed lose interest with age. I on this special occasion dont care if he "sells out " as long as he continues to be happy with his music.

@styk0n 10 жыл бұрын
Rakon I've come close to having a bad trip once. At some point over the last five months or so, I thought I might not mind having a bad trip at least once, just to see what it's like. Getting pretty close to it and then consciously realising 'this is what a bad trip is like' is a scary feeling. Other than that, I try to stay away from weed, it just has that whole stoner culture which is stupid, and I also need a job and I really just don't want to risk missing a good job opportunity because of pot.

I can't help but agree, there is something about this music which is so... Captivating. However, artists evolve, as he has said in an interview "the idea of going back across the same ground isn't exciting at all. The last few minutes or so sounds sacred and almost ritualistic, you can imagine hearing that if you were in a Native American tipee and your in the peak of a peyote trip, the shaman singing and hitting a drum...Jesus and I'm not even high haha. Kevin parker is a genius

I'm really glad the younger generation like myself are actually listening to real music, yeah we all have our guilty pleasures but honestly it makes me happy knowing people actually have taste in music and don't just listen to something because its the "cool" thing to do or "popular"... there's a lot of good music these days people just need to open their eyes a little more. Broaden their horizons and relax, take a step back and just enjoy, cha feel?

I mean like, you can find people like that everywhere, everyone has their music tastes and their own definition of what they think is good music, but I do agree that popular music isn't that good nowadays, while other people are satisfied listening to Lil Pump or Rihanna, I literally don't enjoy it and search for music like this that I actually do enjoy

Anybody wanna share their LSD experiences while tripping to Tame Impala? I recently did 1.5 of a gel tab and during my peak I decided to tell my ex girlfriend about this song. The song was already one of my favorites from Kevin but never got the chance to really experience it on the effects of acid. I put my Bose speaker fairly close to me and turn the light a blue ish color and I lay in the bed. The song starts to play and I automatically feel connected to it. Considering the fact I was tripping balls, the song felt super long. Engaging every second of it. By the time the song comes to the closing, I was staring into the roof and the popcorn chicken above. Everything was moving so vividly and in sync. By the time the guitar kicks in at 5:40 my whole chest gets lifted, like if I’m no longer connected to my physical body and I look into the roof and it’s a whole galaxy above me. I was completely blown away! The power and echo I felt in my body when Kevin sings “feeling in the core” was honestly so filling. But by the time the song ended, music to walk home by started playing and that’s a whole other trip to explain! Haha
