Not really He is actually half alien which is why he can talk in the first place. For those who don't know the truth behind the scooby doo lore All of the animals who can talk in the cartoon are either half alien or thier grandparents have been processed by a ancient alien species who don't have a physical form. I don't remember exactly what their name was but they were definitely aliens who visited the earth for over thousands of years to help humanity but not all of them are good though. If you don't believe me then go look it up on the internet.
