Thanks for the video. Im just about to embark on this as an experiment on fronts only at this stage. The glue is ridiculously expensive in Australia. $68 for 150ml

Thanks for posting this! I'm in your same 'boat' where i like my regular scoots and have had success in a rocky 50 last fall but also want a little more insurance of them staying put and less fuss so i'm going to glue on the skins for my upcoming 55. Your experiences will help me be more prepared as I take on the gluing process!

These look like an interesting alternative to regular boots. How do you remove them and clean off the glue for reapplying?

To remove, you use something like a flathead screwdriver to pry off the heels. Once you break the seal, it's simple to continue breaking the seal and pop it off. Clean them out with a Dremel. You don't have to get it all out - just enough to where it's a proper surface for reapplication. It's not hard, but it is time consuming. Say it takes 15 minutes to clean out 1 boot. If you have 4 boots - well, that's an hour.

Why do they have the side slot if you just have to back fill it up

You don’t have to fill it up. The side slot was part of the original bot to let the debris come out. But since we’re filling with glue, we don’t need that.
