big up too rhys he did an awesome job, 3rd times a charm baby I personally feel Ryan's second trick was definitely worthy of the win but I don't have 10/15 years in the industry, I think he felt just as proud for Rhys as he woulda felt if he won himself, no dought everyone in the comp put in outstanding effort in, a massive shout out too barzy for both of thos quad backflip attempts the first one was so close, it's in your grasp mate don't give up on it and I wish you a speedy recovery mate

old school skater here, new to scootering, can someone explain why a triple flip won vs fronty 1440/1800? is it that he tricked it as well? it doesn't make sense to me, the FMX guys are triple flipping and I see it all the time in bmx, am I missing something?

Finally crashes are being scored properly. XGames: you crash you get 30 points. Nitro World Games: you do a double backflip and get 30 points.

To be fair a double flip is kinda different on scooter with respect to risk. You can learn a double flip into an average foam pit. Not so on moto. I say that being a person who learned double flip into foampit when I was 14 or something and no one was doing them. Goes without saying I didn't try it to resi, I'm not as balls to the walls as these guys.

The dude going for the quad back flip huge props but it's kinda sad that a fellow scooter rider was there faster than the paramedics as soon as he hit he was running towards him but yet the paramedics just fast walk smh need people with some hustle love the effort of the quad flip he was killing it!

Paramedics don't run. Doing so increases the risk of injuring themselves or slipping into the patient. Once they've crashed and stopped moving the risk of further injury has stopped so there's no benefit to rush at them.

Gosh, I just saw the gentleman try his second quadruple backflip. Sadly, he too, had a very bad fall. The landing cushion certainly helps soften the blow but make no mistake about it, I would image it hurts bad, as hospital visits and/or death is a real possibility. LORD, please allow them both a full recovery!

Never got big into scooters like my son did several years ago now when he was a kid. I went out and built up several customs as had the cash to and went with him many times, we had fun but I always felt they were too small for my big feet and I would rather ride BMX or skate as that what grew up doing in the 80's and 90's as a kid myself. I'll be 43 in January and recently picked up a board again and forgot how much fun it was, just hurts more now when I fall and takes bit longer to heal. Luckily I'm far from overweight or severely out of shape so that helps.

I have seen them on a motorbike, a bmx bike and have seen double flips on inline skates. The progression of these magnificent hard sports is truly mind blowing. They had weather delays on Saturday and Sunday, so they held the Scooter event first and it started at 2:00 pm Australia time and the gates didn't open till 3:00 pm Australia time, so the crowd didn't even get in there when they started. Also since the show started earlier on Monday so they could get all 2 days worth of events in one day, most of the audience was still at work or school when they started.

I think it was pre organized that R. Willy wasn't going to win this best scooter trick... Maybe an equity scored event and not equality? The no hand + triple back was amazing but not as impressive as Williams second run with that 1800 cork or even his first run where he added the bar spin. Ryan easily won this.
