@krolik1157 Жыл бұрын
@@Frorideism It hit a ceiling which is in a lot of ways pretty understandable. An FMX accident is just too dangerous for progression to occur the way it does in other extreme sports unless some serious concessions are made. Bruce Cook paralyzed himself trying to become the first person in the world to pull off a double frontflip, and just recently we lost BMX rider Pat Casey to an FMX accident. Over at Nitro Circus, they progress the sport a bit more because they have mechanical "cheater" ramps that make frontflips easier to do, and also have safer landings -- they switched from dirt landings to resi landings way sooner than the X Games did, and now use inflated landings for their FMX best trick comp. (They also have ramps that launch the riders higher into the air, which makes the softer landings even more necessary.) As a result, at Nitro World Games we've seen KOD frontflips, double frontflips, rock solid frontflips, KOD double backflips, la-z-boy frontflips, and more...Harry Bink won the last Nitro World Games best trick comp with a triple backflip. X Games is sticking with the same ramps, with no mechanical kickers, and only just switched from dirt landings, so you're going to see a lot more of the same...slight variations on double backflips and frontflips, with the occasional body varial. There really aren't any variations of a single backflip that are as difficult as a frontflip or double backflip, and trying to modify those tricks too much could easily lead to catastrophe on the jump/landing setup the X Games is still going with. Props to Rinaldo and Strong for keeping it more fresh than usual this year.

Electric might be good but 2bangas rule still as winning runs showed. Can't beat the sound and feel of a 2stroke. Blokes are going all out putting it on the line. People don't realise the practice, crashes and injuries they go through to get out infront of crowds, launching hardest tricks straight away, crashing and getting back up for another run. Respect to all these hardcore legends. I've smashed myself so much I can hardly walk or stand properly always in bad pain. Only thing that keeps me going is chucking my gear on and out in the bush/sanddunes with mates rippin around on my te300. Takes it out of me as crash abit trying jumps I know I shouldn't at 43yrs and injured bad from doing same stuff. Can't help it when perfect lip is infront of you. Make 95% but always get caught out. I suppose if it was easy, safe and boring no one would ride or watch it. Abit like knitting. Avagud1. Josh ya looking bit scruffy wish that bush. Jarred here I road with you and Kirk/Kirt at Phil's(Phloppy's tracks near Beverley years ago. You took me off my first ever massive rhythm doubles on track there. I was on yz125 you were on 450, I made first double and jumped off side off second as shat myself, over 80-90+ feet crazy kicking jumps. What's weight like on Electric

I was going to say that they should switch to front flip ramps w/mechanical kickers and/or softer landings or stop having this event -- compare this to what you see at the Nitro World Games FMX best trick (triple backflips, double frontflip, rock solid frontflip, and more) and it's not close -- but Rinaldo and Jacko both brought great tricks this year, super awesome to see.

Why would they switch to cheater ramps it would ruin x games because it takes 0 skill to front flip one
@krolik1157 Жыл бұрын
@@kingstonfmx3311 In case people want to see more variation on front flips, this is literally the first time we've seen anything beyond a no-handed front flip at X Games. I'd personally have preferred the cheater ramps to seeing the same no-handed front flip winning gold however many years in a row it was. But the ramps definitely do make it easier.
