I have a Permobil power chair and it has a low turning radius, turns into bed, raises so you can get something off a top shelf while shopping lots of features you can add.

Hi anyone have an idea where to get a mirror for a scooter 🛵?

My Pride Go Go Elite Traveler 3-wheel scooter likes firm smooth surfaces, really struggles in most grass or other soft surfaces. Disassembled, it fits behind the rear seat in my Subaru SUV. Optional 18 AmpHour batteries may be too heavy for some seniors to carry.

We have found the same thing, Gary! Firm and smooth surfaces: no problem. Grass, sand, gravel...the Go Go isn't so great. But again, it is very very small and maneuverable, and not necessarily made for the tougher outdoor stuff. For that, I'd recommend looking into a Victory 9 or 10.

I have the same scooter for both my wife, and myself. I think an important factor is how much do you depend on the device. We both have bad knees, but are still able to get around walking for short distances around the house or places such as restaurants, movie theaters requiring walking long distences. Our scooters main use is day trips to amusement parks, shopping malls, or resort areas with handicap features. The scooter with its easy breakdown/reassemble make transportation doable. I do get it, for in home use, or those needing a more stable device, the wheelchair type seems better suited.

@@photomanwilliams4147 Excellent points! Scooters, especially the small portable ones, are indeed great for day trips. For really hard use or using all day at home, power chairs are typically built to withstand more abuse, are more maneuverable, and more comfortable to sit in. The big downfall is that most power chairs cannot be disassembled for transport. The ones that can are often good at being transportable, but not so great at being a good power chair! It is a bit of a catch-22.

I’m thinking of getting a power wheelchair instead of a scooter. I need to know if they have a key like the scooters so I can keep kids off it when I’m not around. And where is it located? Thanks !

Power chairs can be turned off and joystick can be taken off...

Then there is the Whill Ci

We have looked at the Whill chairs and had some opportunity to get our hands on them and test them out. We will carry them if there is a market for them, but for now (and especially since they aren't covered by traditional medical insurance) we've decided to stick with our core of Pride, Permobil, and Sunrise Medical power wheelchairs.
