Recency bias is a cognitive bias that favors recent events. In a while the flaws will be more evident; season 1 is so much cleaner writing wise than season 2 and still holds up after 3 years whereas the storyline rush-job that was season 2 will not.

Its heavily implied that jinx survived. When caitlyn checks the hexgate blueprint at the end, it shows escape ways. Also, the airship at the end is the exact same one powder said (in episode 1 of arcane) she would ride on one day. This is kinda meant as an open ending mystery type of stuff

And narratively, Jinx faking her death was her way of “breaking the cycle”, letting Vi and the others live without her as she goes off to to build her new future in that airship in the very last shot, just like she said she would ride one in the very first episode. Plus all the parallels with other “cycles”, the cycle of violence with black rose and noxus, the cycle of viktor saving Jayce, and Ekko’s power to make time loops. Also in a meta sense, her death being “canon until told otherwise”, as I’ve seen some people say, is literally exactly what she wanted, so it’s kinda genius

Throughout Viktors jesus phase, I always thought that Skye was the arcane's way of manipulating Viktor. After episode 8 i realize Skye was Viktors last pieces of humanity, giving him company to the final being that is Viktor. So when he ascended to his final form, his last flickers of humanity went away too along with Skye. Its why she says he won't miss her, since hes turning into a being devoid of emotion and thus cant miss someone.

​@@Ude99 She didn't need Vi. Vander and Ekko both tried to tell her she wasn't living up to her potential. That she COULD be more than she is. She IS super smart, without Vi. But it's clear she held herself back after Vi's passing. That doesn't mean it's too late for her to do and be something greater than she is. "Your ideas change the world," Ekko said. He left out the part where her (Jinx's) inventions have been used to change the world by killing people, because that's NOT what her talents HAVE to be used for. She is able to help him create the time machine because she is so talented. In the original universe, we see her figure out how to use Hextech just by reading Jayce's notebook. So, of course she can figure out how to use Hextech in the alternate universe, too. But the last time she was actually ambitious, when she tried to be more than she believed herself to be, someone close to her got killed. Whether or not her actions had anything to do with it, that kind of trauma changes a person. She doesn't lose her ability to think, or invent, or be passionate. She just keeps those things buried inside in the alternate. "You aren't the kind of person who helps other people with their projects." Jinx works pretty much alone, and she's successful. There's nothing wrong with working with others, but it seems Powder chooses to follow others and doesn't let her own ideas flow. No one wants Powder to change. They can just see who she already is.

theres a few bits of evidence that jinx survived; 1. right before the explosion, you can see a pink streak (jinxes shimmer ability) going away from the blast. if it was jinx she wouldve been far enough to survive. 2. Vi didnt watch her die, she turned away and started grieving before she set off the bomb. The writers mightve done this so that even if jinx survived or died, vi wouldnt know that, so her arc will still come full circle and she would have to let go of powder (and now jinx). 3. Near the end caitlyn was looking at the hexgate blueprint/layout while holding one of jinxes bomb trap parts, and then she smiled when she noticed there were tunnels built right where she "died" so she thought there was a chance that she survived. 4. Powder said that she would ride a blymp one day, and the last scene was a blymp flying away. Could be that jinx took that blymp out of piltover and she left everything behind Just a note that these are little breadcrumbs that the writers purposely added to let people interperate the ending, theres no confirmed end to jinxes story on purpose, to leave some ambiguity. I heard some people say arcane wouldnt make sense if jinx didnt die, but thats not really true, because if jinx left everything behind to start over and everyone thought she was dead then its basically just the same as her dying.

I really thought i would hate the Viktor future time stuff. But the conclusion really gripped me. The meaning to life is to put meaning to life, to find your perfection, to reach every goal and pursue every dream. The goal is to try to get to perfection. But thats just it, perfection isn't the destination, its the journey. Viktor found perfection, he found the world he deemed as the best possible outcome- and it ended up being hollow and meaningless. There was no more knowledge, no more invention, no more dreams, heart beats, music, adventure. It was a world without conflict. A world were evolution was achieved, then nothing else.

I appreciate you pointing this out explicitly because I see a few too many people oversimplifying what Viktor was doing as "oh hurr durr just another dude who's mind controlling everyone how can he not see that sucks" thing is, while yes there is some aspect of control involved, Hexcore Viktor isn't just brainwashing everyone like some drug. He's legitimately unifying them into one raw existence. I always saw the Hexcore as taking Viktor's goal of achieving a unified, conflict-less world and proceeding to achieve it like a computer would--to "optimize" humanity. But humanity isn't a program to be optimized, which is what Jayce and future Viktor realize.

the end of episode 8 when viktor starts the evolution and vander's memories start to disapear is so sad, especially with the twenty one pilots song 'The Line' playing in the background, such an emotional moment. I love how intertwined the music and visuals are in Arcane and i'm excited to see they're releasing a music video 'The Line' soon

Just to give some hope: it’s been confirmed they are doing another series. It’ll be set in the same world but a different area. Mel’s entire storyline set up Noxus. Ambessa did die. The black rose was taking her life force. The black rose is a HUGE player in noxus. She finally realized that Mel would be willing to do what needed to be done for the family. She fought her mother, used her as bait, sacrificed her to avenge their family, kino. Everything that Ambessa said Mel wasn’t. The characteristics of the Wolf. So y’all were both right. Victor was the Mage to give him the stone back in S1ep 2. Jayce and victor are in the crystal. The crow is from another huge player in Noxus. Also she didn’t die. She escaped. She broke the cycle by leaving. It’s why you see the blimp from the 1st episode. She’s on it. Jinx shows up in other regions in the game.

Arcane is just so epic in both seasons (but I think especially 2) that any single frame could hold an Easter egg. It just goes to show that this series has some insanely talented people involved. Not only that, but the actors are also super passionate about this project, which you don't always see with shows, especially animation. The animators put their blood, sweat, and tears into animating... well, blood, sweat, and tears. No show is without flaws. Anyone can find something to negatively critique about any media. But Arcane might be the closest damn thing we'll see to a perfect series.

Nope you’re right, you can see a small shimmer trail go into a vent right before the explosion. Cait was looking at those exit tunnels because jinx most likely escaped through one of them. That’s why they showed the airship. Jinx is on that airship

Hello League of Legends/Runeterra lore master and lore lover is back to work. And I must say that even with my knowledge of Runeterra lore. I'm just overwhelmed by a big mental blow. I'm also glad that Riot Games bought out Fortiche studios because it was confirmed that they are already working on something else and apparently it won't just be cinematics, series but probably also movies. Well, I'll probably have to wait for some explanation from Necrit because this finale was simply heartbreaking. When Necrit returns from America A.L. Arcane dernieru what he received as an invitation. So I'm sure when he returns he will release Arcane season 2 explaination and hidden details he will definitely release at least 2 videos. _________ . . . . . . It was great that they showed us hints of Leblack, Swain, Oriana, the potential that Mel could become a new champion, parallel worlds and Silco in every scene he appeared he stole the spotlight. -------------------------- And the way Riot Games ended the stories by killing 6 champions is just wow. --‐‐‐----------------------- The new champion Ambesa Metard got extra love from Riot Games and the official IP team. Cinematic Blood sweat and tears, a story on the League website and after Arcane came out the Novel book Arcane Ambesa Chosen of the Wolf. And its ending is great. Heimerdinger finally got a good story, not just some character description on the League website, a preview in the Jinx comic and the lore game Hextech Mayhem. And even though he is a Yordle, so he should return/reborn in Bandle City = Spirit Realm but I don't think that will happen. Jace and Viktor are a big question, because I can't say for sure if they died or if they are ending the "timeloop" paradox of parallel universes (#blue stone with always a different Rune). Warwick is still questionable, because he could possibly return in his more werewolf form from the Cinematics and games. And Jinx = Powder her sacrificial death hit me the deepest in the heart. Her beginning with the Get Jinx Cinematic and her ending in Arcana created by the same French studio Fortiche, it's the greatest love story for art.

So much about the Cait/Vi scene to love…. How Cait was going to be honest and tell her she was with someone else….and Vi giving ZERO fucks because she has her cupcake back. Then Cait is the one who rips her shirt off in front of Vi very aggressively, but then is soft and gentle undoing Vi’s wrapping…and is then CONTINUALLY gentle with her. Gently caressing her, touching her, giggling with her in pure joy because she is FINALLY with who she truly WANTS to be with. And Vi…alternating between being very aggressive with Cait, and then being very gentle with her. Showing Cait that it has basically been her….ALWAYS. Just such a perfect love story for these two. I got my Violyn back!

This is meant to be Jinx using shimmer to escape into an air duct Faking her own death because she knows as long as VI thinks she's alive, she'll be putting herself in harms way to find her and not being able to move on

As far as Maddie goes....the lead writer said it was a "mutual attraction" between Cait and Maddie....but to me, that seems lazy. I personally prefer the sleeper agent idea, because Cait going after Maddie because she wants to see what being with someone her mother would approve of just seems....contrived. Maddie just came out of nowhere to take Vi's place. Even though the lead writer says tht it was an issue of mutual attraction, and that Cait was thinking something like "what would it be like to date someone my mother WOULD approve of." But to me...that just makes it WORSE of an issue. But having her as an agent of Ambessa means that she was there to feed Ambessa info on Cait's mindset so that she could be steered and directed as she wanted. Which at that point make sense because she was then in a perfect spot to sabotage the "Victor bomb" and thwart Cait, which i why Ambeasa was able to just walk up all calm like she did. Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Epiaode 6...."your absence left a vacuum inwas able to fill." She could have been meaning herself....but could very well have also been meaning Maddie. I also think "sleeper agent" because of what Maddie said before she fired...*I appreciated your warmth." Not enjoyed, not would miss....APPRECIATED...as if it was all a job for her that happened to have a great bonus. Plus...Maddie was the FIRST enforcer to beat her chest when Cait was named commander... TOTAL sleeper agent!!!!

To be fair, Vi and Cait literally knew each other for like less than a day and got attracted to each other, which was also lazy. The sleeper agent was something people predicted the moment she got revealed so it just feels like a cop out

Now that it's over, I'll cave to the "rushed" crowd a little. But it's less that it's rushed, more that it's jam packed. But so was season 1. But what makes Arcane so good is they're able to juggle all that into a cohesive narrative. Some stuff isn't 100% clear, but nothing that detracts from the story... it's all stuff that can be expanded on in future projects, like the Black Rose. Season 1 had similar elements, but rather than being answered in non-Arcane stories, they were set to be answered in S2. What is the Hexcore? What's that glowing stuff on Mel? All in all, this show has been amazing and provided some of the best emotional highs and lows I've seen in a while. Suffice it to say, I love this show, even with some minor flaws.

Jinx didn't die, pause in the first frame of the explosion, you can see a pink/purple lighting escaping the explosion just as it began, that is also confirmed by Caitlyn watching the Hex Gates schematics, and locking at the vents, they didn't find Jinx body, and finally the Zeppelin scene, meaning that Jinx is leaving both of the cities, and Arcane is hinting a possible war in Noxus, maybe we could see a Mel and Jinx team up, with Lux and the weird martial artist.

SPOILERS - - - The very last ep, when Cait is looking at the map (the vents where Jinx disappeared/ "died") she was also holding the part for the bomb she had... yet they found no body. She's smiling because she knows Jinx survived. Jinx "walked away" like her hallucination of Silco said... if you watch during the scene the bomb goes off, there's a purple "glitch" which appears when she goes super fast and its suggested she got away from Warwick. In the very first ep of Arcane, she even says about one of the ships (the last ship we see leaving) that she's gonna ride one of them one day and they NEVER pop back up really throughout the show... so, personally, I think she survived and decided to let VI believe she died so she can live a happy life with Cait and move on.

Its just Piltover and Zaun is the futuristic city type and is very ahead in terms of engineering technology. Most of the world is still using swords, bow, spear, etc. with Magic being the most advance form of technology they have.

The only thing I am confused about was Jayce and viktor especially viktor. I mean when we see Viktor he is not a mage he is merged with hextech but did not use runes nor magic he was different than the Viktor we know today. There other questions like where was this Viktor before and everything else. The last thing is that what happened to Jayce and viktor at the end and if we get a sequel will they may come back in some way. Because I would think that Heimerdinger and jinx will come back to confirm to us that they are alive or dead but I think that mostly Heimerdinger is dead though. As a show this was peak, with only a few issue which are really stupid and are prioritized for fanservice, like ciat and vi smashing right as jinx went kill herself, but alot of thing can be over looked for enjoyment. Now lorewise arcane has destroyed the whole lore of zaun and piltover atleast 13 characters are dead, won't exist, or like in janna's case doesn't actually exist. If arcane wasn't canon this would be peak. I know that jinx is alive, jayce and viktor high chance could me alive somewhere else as heimerdinger, but I just hate how much of the lore they ruined, and I'm not that excited for what they could do to noxus.

rip MiniJinx rip Vander rip Jinx. Missed but never forgotten. I am so happy that Jayce is dead. I feel like your thoughts on him with demands on if believe the ends justified the means. For me it doesn't like Warwick still was control, Viktor was still alive and nothing really weakened him, only thing that really happen was that people was killed and Mini Jinx scarified herself. And I know that if Jayce didn't do anything, it will become that wasteland but also these few episodes makes what Jayce did in the healing camp useless since it wasn't like it got rid anything except one of my favourite characters Mini Jinx. So I still hate Jayce.

act 3 was a terrible conclusion to this series. jinx deserved better - whether she’s dead or alive her ending sucks. i’ll die on this hill. and i’ll never forgive the writers for ruining my favorite show. edit: y’all are free to disagree. this is just my opinion and i’m obviously emotionally ranting. acts 1-2 had way more of a gut punch for me than act 3. i felt really emotionally disconnected from act 3 (mostly just episode 9) which is completely opposite my experience with the rest of arcane so that was extremely difficult to swallow for a series finale.

@@gustavgustav2670 it only works thematically if her character remains emotionally/psychologically broken - in which case why not just off herself. she could’ve had a heart to heart with vi on making a decision to leave vs just leaving with vi thinking jinx died to protect her. if this was a season finale i get it, but ending the series this way is a terrible way to tie up jinx’s storyline.
