Congrats Scoot, For you have witnessed yet another fan favorite episode! To this day "Rarity Investigates" is considered to be one of the greatest Rarity episodes in the entire FIM series! It was interesting to see Rarity take on the role of a detective to prove Rainbow Dash's innocence, It was especially awesome that they made certain scenes black and white like an old timey noir style detective movie! Although all of the costume changes that Rarity did in the episode were absolute madness, Especially when she played "the temptress" that part always makes me think "Total fan service if ever I saw any. lol" But it was good that Rarity eventually proved that RD was innocent in the end. As for "Made In Manehattan" it was nice to see Rarity and AJ be summoned on a friendship mission by the cutie mark map, And of course it was a real treat to see Coco Pommel again, It was also hilarious to see all of the shenanigans that they all got into while trying to organize the play. I mean the fact that Applejack tried to clean up and or repair that whole park all by herself was both funny but also amazing!

It's my headcanon that Wind Rider is Lightning Dust's grandpa or uncle or something. They're both underhanded and only care about being the best, and their color schemes are similar.

I just finished watching this episode for a horror fimfic I'm writing. I forgot how patient Rarity truly is with Rainbow Dash in this. And she may also know her limits. Short bursts, but can't hold a mach over several cities. 03:35 - It is a short fuzz, so rays can still get to the skin. Also, that boop. xD 04:13 - So much for that modesty... Selective modesty...? 05:09 - Considering a little bit about her history and certain actions she's done, her element can falter. 06:29 - Practically every comedy series (and non-serious to semi-serious cartoons) gotta make a parody of everything. 08:04 - Ooookaaaayyyy.... What's the rating on this cartoon again? o.o Also, good-cop-bad-cop playing out here. And love the extra shading they dished out for this scene. Definitely one of those fun mystery episodes. Gets one wondering who done did it. Kinda like the cake episode... Actually, back then one would be on Pinkie's side and think it was the bakers. Here, either it was a complete mystery or one was leaning towards Wind Rider. Also, RariDash shippers went nuts with this one. ;D And then right after than, one for the RariJack shippers. XD 14:41 - Yes, Manehattan. What you do to these ponies is turn them into stressed out divas. Callback to the song and how she treated her friends in that episode. 17:03 - It New York. Most peoples an asshole. ;p 21:37 - She's not one for attention... Or being on stage like that.

Hey, you’re gonna start seeing some slight animation changes here soon. Characters are gonna be a lot more expressive and the facial expressions are gonna be… Well, they’re gonna be interesting, but not in a bad way. 😂 The animation will be a lot smoother and the songs are gonna get SO much better, especially after the MLP movie. I think it’s because they got updated equipment and stuff for the show. It’ll be super nice.

Although I was confused with Rarity’s investigation, at first like probably anybody else, I did agree very well with the cake part. Because by her asking, what kind of cake it was, and what it was decorated with, that means you could be able to trace it down with the bakeries or bakery that makes that cake, It can either be an easy find so that way you could ask who bought it or a slight pain in the ass, depending on how many bakeries there are in the city you’re in who make that exact same cake, because then it could be almost any bakery, and depending on who bought one that day , it could be either one or the other.

Yeah, this episode always made me very annoyed with the Wonderbolts as well. Just because there's somewhat of a motive they put her up against the wall and demand she "prove her innocence" without a shred of evidence she actually did it. That's not how justice work.

Yeah, Rarity Investigates is just all kinds of fun, great noir vibe, some great jokes, and the Bolts, handled things well. Soarin gets a lot of flak for how he handled RD but, it seems legit to me. She was the chief suspect, and he didn't actually accuse her of anything, just said that while she was the chef suspect she was essentially on administrative leave till they figured it out, and would only be officially punished after the full investigation if she ended up being proven guilty. That is.... pretty much exactly the sort of way you want organizations to handle things like this. Then we have the return of Co..... I mean Miss Pommel.... yeah they had to stop calling her "Coco Pommel" because the company behind the brand Coco Channel threw a hissy fit. Yeah probably the weakest of the Map eps, but stilla good ep with a great message.

Yes. Love the references in this show. Charlie brown in the episode after that. the lutece twins from bioshock in season 4. The shining earlier this season. There a link pony hauling a cart of green rupies somewhere I forget where. Really fun easy to miss things.
