So zeff actually didn't lose his foot to the anchor it was a more tame version for the anime. He actually survived by cutting off and eating his foot.

Fun fact: You perhaps wonder why Luffy didn't immediately attack his face right? When he had that armor. Well, you will get used to it, but Luffy LOVES proving people wrong. You could see that even with that never-bled Pearl guy and how Luffy immediately hit him and made him bleed. Don Krieg was boasting with how his armor was indestructible and so, even tho it would be easier to just punch his lights out by attacking his head, Luffy punched through the armor, destroying it, and proving everyone that indeed no, the armor wasn't indestructible. Pretty cool, isn't it?🤩

Advice for watching OP you need to pay attention to some dialouge because OP makes some dialogue seem like throw away lines but it becomes really important imformation as the series goes on. And remember that Oda pieces everything together
