What would you do with another seating area in the van? Personally, I can't wait to work in the passenger seat and soak in the views outside my sliding door.

Lauren, a quick tip to pass along to everyone. Whenever you unclip the negative or positive battery cable, please ensure to push the terminal down firmly onto the battery, then reclamp the terminal post. If you only close the terminal clamp without pushing it down FIRMLY, the electronic signal (to the air conditioner and other electronics) can become intermittent. The terminal is slightly larger at the base than at the top of the battery post.

YOU GO GIRL!! - I have been viewing DIY van build snippets on you tube for several years and just found your site. I believe you have eclipsed many hundreds of other videos in organization, content, clarity, completeness, technical accuracy, industry, authenticity, transparency, and integrity. If you desire more visibility, six or eight hash tags (#) on each of your videos may increase traffic. Copy hash tags from similar sites. Do you reference this video from your other social sites? You have been honing the skills used on this project all of your life; keep building skills. Best wishes, Jack

Just an FYI, that grey lever on the negative (black) terminal of the battery actually loosens the terminal's grip on the post and you could have just wiggled it off instead of taking off the nut/bolt. Nothing wrong doing it your way, just a little time saver is all. The swivel is definitely a solid option for van conversions. I'm starting a box truck next spring (nowhere to put it inside during the Central NY winter.......) so it's not really an option for me, but great tutorial!!

Thank you for your quick response. I’ll be looking at more of your bids. Your production is awesome. The van I’m looking at is a 24 pro master 159 wheelbase high top. I assume all the holes in the crossmembers and etc., that you reference are the same at least I hope they are.

Nice. I'm 6'2" And would actually like to lower my driver seat. One bad thing about the Promaster's. You sit too high. I have a 22 159" I believe it's identical to yours.
@LaurenLawliss Жыл бұрын
Personally, I love sitting up high in the ProMaster. Any swivel seat you install will add to the height so I’d advise against it in your instance. Yup, mine is a 2022 159” as well🤗
@fernwehchronicle Жыл бұрын
What is there a reason besides preference that you didn’t put a swivel in the driver seat also?
@LaurenLawliss Жыл бұрын
Great question! Here are a few things to consider: - Would it be used? Personally, I would not. I already have one on the passenger seat and it’s just me in the van. - The swivel seat adds an inch and a quarter in height, which I didn’t want when driving since I am already so tall. I like my vision where it is. - Most importantly, I will eventually be installing cabinetry directly behind my driver seat so there wouldn’t be enough clearance to turn the chair and make it a comfortable seating option. Hope this helps☺️
@RPM-sr2gn Жыл бұрын
That was sweet.Are you going to do the same thing to the drivers Seat?I would.The only way is that you would have to put the swivel seat in & then move the base back until the seat turns to your liking.It's possible.Then you could put another small table in to either eat off of or work on.Good Luck >:)))
@LaurenLawliss Жыл бұрын
I love it too! Yes, I have a swivel for the driver side as well that I plan on installing soon. Since it’s just me living in the van I haven’t been in any rush to install it since I can’t sit in both places at once hahaha but I will have it for any guest in the future😆

@Vera-xu3xw5 ай бұрын
Inch and a half seems like a lot since my front seat already seems high. Are you still happy with them? Any negatives?
@LaurenLawliss4 ай бұрын
It is noticeably higher, but is still the lowest profile swivel seat in the market at this time. To be honest, after posting this video and using the swivel more, I don’t loveeee it. It is hard to swivel at times and ruined some plastic pieces on my seat itself. It could be improved for sure.

Fair question. Without the spacers, components of the seat would prevent it from turning (ie the plastic sides). Hope this provides some clarity.
