Cast iron trivet, put in container, cover with vinegar, rust just rises from it, looks like sea foam, then dry it and seal it. Be amazed at results.

I would keep it too ! I wonder if it's needle felted? It looked like it was, and it looks more like a beaver than a gopher to me. I don't think gophers have a tail like that, but I could be wrong.

Wow! What a nice haul. The wooden piece at the beginning that you said you think some pieces are missing, appeared to be a pipe holder. Pipes go around the edges and the tobacco in the middle container with the lid. :)

The janky item was vintage. Used goes for 100.00. To 325.00. Wish i could add a pic here. It was used to hold tea bags. I believe ca 1850. Could also hold tea biscuits.

Might be contempo to the humidor. 04:57 Give 'im a coat of flat black Krylon, he'll be fine. 06:40 Very _boring_ wall pocket. 10:32 Very _puzzling_ Frankoma. 5NS is the mark for a Plainsman square serving dish; it's uncommon to see it in a chip-and-dip configuration like that. I think it's Desert Gold glaze. It's a piece I would enjoy having, even though it looks like post-1954 Sapulpa clay and I'm an Ada clay partisan. 17:14 V&A? Victoria & Albert Museum repro, from London. The style's called drabware; it was introduced by Wedgwood in the 1800s.

Did you see the Franciscan Desert Rose in the case up front? There are at least 75 pieces-including rare pieces. I believe it's from the 1940's per the back stamp. Beautiful, looks like it was always in a china cabinet, and the original pamphlet is with the set! Amazing.

82 World's Fair was in Knoxville TN. It was the last time it was in the US. There are some local interests in the logoed pieces. The Fair itself took on a bad image because it wasn't that new. People didn't need to see something that was already being advertised on TV and no one was interested in Imelda Marco's shoes. The trays might get ten to fifteen for the pair. The only real claim to fame was a Simpsons episode where Bart stole the neighbor's car, drove to Knoxville only to find out he was 20 years too late. The background music was Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. It was the soundtrack of "The Exorcist". I'm guessing that it is Halloween month at the Good Will.
