Maaaaate Steve SO glad you did this one!! I love that you recognise the lyricism in what Guy does in this song... it's just gorgeous!! Was really beautiful to watch you sing along with it 😍 Guy doing this live on the voice was awesome too! "Before I go" is one of my favourites from him as well... he wrote it at one of his lowest points when he thought he might not write songs anymore. Original version is probably best for full effect but similar sentiment as this but about himself instead, you can't not like it!

You need to listen to Get Along by Guy. I even included the song in my will. Listen to his lyrics. Guy is not only one of the best singers in the world, but his writing is also incredible. Also, his reasonably recent Climb Every Mountain love on stage version where he gives you some background story to the song (one of the rare times he's singing a song he didn't write). It shows why he's not huge in America. He could have been, but he chose not to go in that direction.

Ive really enjoyed listening to the insight youve shown reacting to Guy's videos. If you want to dive further down the Aussie Talent rabbit hole you should check out Matt Corby doing 'Brother' (Triple J's Like a Version) and our national treasure John Farnham doing 'Help' with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Oh! And New Zealander Stan Walker covering (and infinitely improving) Kanye's 'Ultralight Beam'. All live and all will knock your socks off. These guys are "so good, it doesn't matter".
