I despise how they put price tags over possible labels that normally gets torn off when tag is removed taking away a lot if the value with it.

I bought a set of vintage glasses with the gold trim at GW. When I gently peeled the 🤬 tape off, most of the gold came off on the tape. GW ruins so many items with that packing tape. They really need to switch to shrink wrap.

02:45 It's pretty respectable; I like it. You can throw in cubes for your shots of Tullamore. 03:40 They don't strike me as being uranium glass. Feels more like something 1960-ish. 04:01 And I'd walk away from picking up this one. It's got a TON of wear on the paint. 06:09 Honest-to-Ghu Texas ware will be marked "Plastics Manufacturing Co.-Dallas, Texas". Ray-Ray's repro bowls are much more often found these days, so check for the marks if you're concerned which is which. (The original Plastics Manufacturing plant in Dallas was demolished in 2019 to make way for a new development.) 06:44 "'Ere now, 'ere now, wot's all this?" 23:18 He's French. I don't know French shoulder insignia, but that uniform is as French, circa WWI, as they come. (ETA: The meaning of the decorations kept itching at me, so I began to investigate and I _think_ he's supposed to be a general. He's got oak leaves on his képi and gorget patches. And although the decorations never would come into good focus, I'm pretty sure I saw a Légion d'honneur, a WWI era Croix de Guerre, and three colonial service bars.)

@@theresamarkiewicz2545 on the first one she passed up, that she said Dagny, would have bought, there are the letters CW on it lower right corner. That’s the initials of the stitcher. We avid cross stitchers spend hours stitching on pieces. Most often we have them professional framed. Sad part is when the family doesn’t want them, they end up in charity stores. If you like them, rescue them. You are paying a huge honor to the original stitcher!
