You made a great buy. You have a HUGE sorting excercise in front of you. Many of the Washington-Franklin series may appear the same but have perf and watermark varieties. Also, production differences such as rotary press or flat plate and sheet or coil. Yep, hundreds of hours of sorting to be done. I love that part of the hobby. You have a couple of thousand in catalogue value there for $20 Canadian. Wow. Good luck and have fun with all the sorting.

WOW!!! A great buy. There were a lot of interesting early coils, pre-cancels and other nice cancels which could make a nice collection on their own. Also possible colour variations.

I think you did an excellent buy! Wonderful! So many stamps and they seem to be generally in good condition. You must check for varieties I think. That might be a worthwhile exercise! Regardless, you will have many stamps to trade. I am glad we got to the box. I was really curious to see what is in there. 🙂

Certainly a great quantity of stamps. I hope you manage to find time to sort them all. Bear in mind as you go through them that stamps that look the same may actually be different varieties - perforations, paper, watermarks (and in some cases printers - though I don't think that applies to US stamps), so don't necessarily just put them all together yet. It would possibly be a good idea if you could find out who the seller was and see what they have to say. Anyway, have fun!

You did good the 10 cent Panama Pacific is worth what you paid for the whole box and I would take a better look at the 1 cent Franklin's at 18:30 for coils or imperforates

Nice ball spinner at the end ;-) I heard Orange and Vera, which makes me very happy. And it's great when you have a lot of stamps that you can use for swapping. Is there actually a stamp exchange platform on the internet, i.e. stamps for stamps?

If your father or you collect US, it would be good to check them for well centred ones and light cancels and then ask if anyone needs fillers for their collection. Wow what a load of US .
