Seriously, thanks for this review. I was on the fence about dropping the money for this system, but after seeing this, I had no problem buying it. I installed the system a couple of days on my R6 (EXTREMELY easy. btw) and so far, I love it. Scorpio should cut you an advertising check haha.

Nope, but I got an 06 gsxr 6 and put the scorpio alarm on it and have theft insurance as well as a huge $150 chain I lock the swingarm up with now. I'll have a gun to the fuckers head by the time he pulls out a grinder, because that's what they will need.

Had mine for over 5 years, more then worth the cost. Install was a straight plug in. Just wish the remote held the charge longer. Had to replace the remote.

I'm going to be getting a bike soon and I know the area my college is in is a very theft-heavy area as far as motorcycles go, so I'm going to be dishing out a lot of cold hard cash to keep my baby safe. Is there a way to quickly mute the alarm from the key fob, but not shut it off, if it goes off suddenly? I am worried it may blow up while I'm in a lecture one day and disturb the entire class. Especially in the area I mentioned in my other comment. I know this video was 2 years ago, but I thought I'd ask.

No it does not differentiate. Yet alarm will set off if something comes to motorcycle really close. So if any car set off your alarm - chances are it had already hit your bike.

Great video I have a couple questions tho 1. When the alarm goes off does it distinguish between what set it off like either somebody leaned it up right off the kickstand or got to close. Or is it just one general alarm notification. And 2. (Motion sensor) Does the alarm keep ringing until you manually press a button to cut it off (alarm on the bike and remote) or does the alarm on the bike/remote just stop ringing once the individual has moved away from the bike.

out here in new york it takes literaly 6 to 10 seconds to steal a bike, any idea of a alarm/ GPS system that can track the bikes location once its stolen…. because out here they pick it up and throw it in a truck and its that easy..

I can park my bike near a walmarts entrance and get almost full reception until I get to the very back, then I lose it. So I would say a couple hundred feet. And the spy 5000 is a great alarm for its price. If you cant afford this, the spy would be my second choice.

Thanks, It has enough reception for you to park your bike in front of a supermarket and you can shop inside with having full reception. I shop at walmart all the time and it works great. After that, you can lose signal.

For my proximity censor, it'll give a warning if someone walks passed but if someone stays there, the alarm won't sound off like yours does. What am I doing wrong?

The sensor triggers when theres movement. If someone walks next to it and freezes, the alarm wont trigger. It will begin to trigger again with the person starts to move. I was confused as well in the beginning.

No, thats what the ignition disable module is for. If you have that installed, there is no way it can be started without the key and disarming it first.

For safety reason, many owners won't disclose the installed location. Although I found it easy to install, just open the seats on your motorcycle and find the best location to install it, and test it, if not working as desire just move to next location .

How long does the battery last in the pager/remote? Harley sells one for their bikes too but the piece of shit last for 24 hours and you gotta recharge it or buy a new battery. I wish Compustar made them for motorcycles. My remote starter from them has killer range and the pager battery lasts over a month.
