Hi i want to do a similar job with my Tracer 09 and i'm very much interested in that bolt that you called "the ultimate pain in the but". I believe it is the mounting bolt for the muffler. Where did you mount it? Does the scorpion come with a specific bracket for that purpose? thanks
@Viper6-MotoVlogger6 жыл бұрын
Hi, The pain in the butt bolt is actually not too bad if you use a short allen key. Scorpion provides all the necessary parts, brackets and bolts. I was actually impressed on how everything just fit so perfectly. The only thing you have to do is clean with a metal file, the stock pipe where you cut it, so the new Scorpion pipe slides in.

What was the model of the exhaust? Looking for one for my 2015 FJ09 but worried it won't clear the kick stand.
@Viper6-MotoVlogger6 жыл бұрын
Robert Burns the model is the Serket Taper half system. It clears the stand perfectly.
@MrFoxfire5103 жыл бұрын
When removing the cat like that, doesn’t the bike need the ecu retuned and remapped?
@Viper6-MotoVlogger3 жыл бұрын
The manufacturer advised that it is not necessary, as the baffle in the exhaust creates enough back pressure. I can confirm that the bike runs very well. But, if I remove the baffle, the bike will run a little rough for one minute until the ECU adjusts itself. Personally, I would not run it without the baffle as I would be concerned about running too lean.

Keith D'Amato sorry I don’t. Do not be intimidated, because it is very easy. You cut the pipe right after the weld, so that the actual weld stays with the catalyst. You end up with the header part. The new Scorpion pipe perfectly slides into the header pipe.
@keithd876 жыл бұрын
