@@floricel_112 Nah, his death wasn't a necessary part of the incantation to free Shinnok, because if that were the case there are plenty of people dying all around him at that moment, he just did it as a final ploy to save his skin since he knew he was dead the moment Scorpion hooked him. His assumption being that if he resurrected Shinnok before he died, then hopefully Shinnok would resurrect him. If the ritual itself required Quan Chi to die there's no way he would've bothered trying to resurrect Shinnok to begin with. An easy way to look at it is; Quan Chi is to Shinnok like Shang Tsung is to Shao Khan, they both serve under someone stronger than them but they're not actually loyal, just using their leader as an avenue to gain more power and hoping to eventually usurp their leader when they become stronger.

All these years later with retrospect on all of Hanzo's actions, this moment right here is still so good. Hanzo is Scorpion in this moment. But he's not Quan-Chi's specter either. He's both the hateful hellspawn and the reformed, wiser man he is in life. "Blood for blood." Is my favorite line from this moment. It's cut from the video bc of gore. It makes his MK11 growth so much better. That fire that lead to violence was channeled into the Fire Gardens, something Specter Scorpion is shocked by. And then D'Vorah just ruins everything. I hate that shock value plot device so much

Honestly, I never understood why Frost was so against peace with the Shirai Ryu. I know the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu were bitter enemies for decades but Frost wasn't even a member of the original Lin Kuei, she only joined after Kuai Liang reformed the Lin Kuei into protectors. Kuai Liang as an OG Lin Kuei should legit be the only one who hangs on to any Lin Kuei vs Shirai Ryu rivalry. So it never made sense to me why Frost, someone who never had anything to do with the two clans' beef, nor was there when the two clans started their beef, felt the need to stir it up more. Why should she care about a clan beef that came _way_ before her time and by the time of her joining was almost non-existent?

Kenshi was one of the coolest characters to me. Kinda sucks that he just drops his sword here and he’s useless all of a sudden. Besides that, I always thought that the conflict between the Shirai-Ryu and the Lin-Kuei clans, as well as pretty much all the characters associated with it, was a greater story than most of the actual story mode campaigns in most of the games or even the Mortal Kombat tournaments themselves. I always liked those elemental ninjas lol i think its cool to see more of it unfold than “A long time ago we fought and killed each other” haha
