Best audio I’ve heard of the scorpion. Haven’t heard any of them in person yet and clips I’ve heard of all the manufacturers so far have made me think why bother to be honest but this sounds nice and deep. The only thing puts me off is the clip thing for the valve, looks like a point of failure. Thanks for doing the vid.

Yer the clip is a bit off putting. I’ve got a plan on changing it to a custom one I am going to make myself. It should stop the value rattling on start up too.

I have the uprated airbox on my mk7 and was thinking of a change now that I'm maxd 2r. Was going to go to go airtec foam induction kit, but while looking around I noticed something. The ST200 box im currently running, has shot up in price since I got it. In 2018 I paid £100 from pumaspeed, now they are £180! Mountune featured an m285 in fast ford not long ago, bigger turbo kit and that was still running the uprated air box. All this got me thinking the uprated airbox must be better than I think and isn't worth upgrading, especially at stage 2. Them airtec inductions do look really nice though 😬

Nice vid mate, if you want your car to sound even better ( by far ) ditch the mountune air box, ans go for an airtec/ram air. The turbo sound is mint on those cars ! Cheers

Yer I’ve got the Airtec air filter sitting her waiting to fit. I’m just working on me E46 atm but will be fitting it very soon. I’ll do a video so everyone can see!!

I'm going to leave the stock terminal and eliminate the gpf with the straight scorpion tube ... in your opinion, could the sound be similar to yours? I haven't had a chance to hear it live, but it doesn't look bad.

I have been told that a GPF delete can get the same sort of sound. I don’t think it would be a beep thought. Also with a GPF delete you will need to get it mapped out as a standard map will keep putting the engine management light on.

Considering that you going for induction now. Have you looked at the dreamscience intake air scoop? Really maximise cold air coming in to the engine

To be fair mate I hadn’t thought about the scoops, I have just googled then and they do look cool!! Maybe they might make an appearance in a video soon!!!

Yer sounds really good the be fair. My insurance has gone up about £70 with all the mods I’ve done. I think I can get it cheaper next year when I renew.

I also found the old 225 map had better pops and bangs which were more aggressive and louder but the 235 definitely feels faster

Which GPF back exhaust would you say is the loudest mate?

I couldn’t be sure which is louder. The miltek is more high pitch and the scorpion is deeper. I’ve just removed my GPF and that has made mine a lot louder.

Thanks, most likely go with the scorpion just a bit worried about the hassle with the GPF delete and MOT problems👌
