They started in the early 70's but hit it big in the 80's. Some of the best guitar and vocals you'll ever hear, IMHO. They have a cool reggae inspired song called "Is There Anybody There? I graduated high school in 1984 and the Scorpions were huge then . They are a metal band from Germany and they still rocking it today. 👍💯

Long hair, cool clothes or lack there of, energy, tight pants usually leather, beautiful vocals and out of this world musicians. That’s the 80’s, most incredible music genre to date. And with these bands who were bursting with energy and love of their trade, try to feature LIVE performances. You may enjoy the audiences also. Nice reaction. This type of song is called a power ballad. Scorpions is a German band. Metallica, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard were support acts for the Scorpions. Axl Rose, Shakira and Pink, among others, cite the band as a role model. The Scorpions have sold around 110 million records and are still active. They will celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2025. Their musical style is described as hard rock and heavy metal. Their song Wind of Change was the most successful single in 1991 and the most played song on the radio worldwide.

I went to Monster's of Rock and they destroyed every band including Metallica, it was a disgrace! Afterwords, Metallica seemed so monotoned and disillusioned, I had great hope for Metallica, but they couldn't hang. It was the same when Foreigner toured with UFO, their careers were over!

I would say hard rock. When I think of metal, I'm thinking Slayer, Metalllica, Anthrax, Pantera, etc. At this time in the 80's there were a lot of hard rock bands in America, and each band had one or two slow soft love ballads. It helped them crossover genders, where they had a lot of men and women fans. Metal has female fans too but, it's not spread out like this was.
