Scorpions - the first band I bought a record of, it was actually a "pirate" cassette bought at marketplace. It was late '80 socialistic Poland and there were almost no official releases of western band's albums. This band brought me to rock and metal and will have a special place in my heart forever. Some years back I took my father to their show in Zabrze, they've made a huge impression on both of us. Awesome, greatly underrated rock band.

@@thelastowitch not really, they are a german band, they were the stuff of legends during the 80's, but black sabbath, iron maiden, rainbow, judas priest, deep purple etc just completely drown most of the rock bands back then. dont get me wrong scorpions is awesome, but not well known to the average consumer. i can go around and go to people and asked them which would they choose "iron maiden or scorpions" pretty sure they would choose iron maiden because those are more mainstream and way more well known (well known as in people have heard about them) due to less embargo back then, europeans have to go around few loop holes due to the political nature back then which kinda put a lot of obstacles in the entertainment industry. same goes with smokies, also german, awesome band, but hard to take off in western audience because of and again locations. Scorpions are one of the biggest name in the rock industry because we are more well verse in that knowledge.

It is actually Amazing, no doubt. Back when this came out, you'd have to rewind the cassette which eventually would break (run out) after too many plays. Or a record, which could get scratched and you'd have to place the head carefully to be sure it didn't. Or listen to the radio for hours hoping it would come on. All of that is true. But there was something irreplaceable about living through it, when it was part of the culture. People wearing metal concert tour shirts were "cool". Plus, music back then was more poetic, you had to think about what it really means. Now, WAP is the jam of kids these days, and frankly that's just outrageously offensively sad... (and parents of the 70s/80s were worried we were all devil worshippers...)

I was stationed at Clark AB from 82-85, lived in a house with three other guys off base. We used to crank the tunes and I especially remember this song! It still sounds great when I blast it in my car on the interstate all these years later.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

you'll be happy to know Clark is still alive and kicking, just more of their personnel these days over in those parts. I was there not all that long ago before COVID hit. Good times!
