Scorpions, weasels and chameleons attack loco ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER Ed Frid!
Ed Frid (Jerry Schaefer) is the lo-cal animal control officer of Possum Lake; Ironically, he is deathly afraid of almost all animals and believes they are out to get him. (He is most afraid of hamsters-"They're evil. E-vil.") He is featured on The Red Green Show in the "Talking Animals" segment, in which Red tries to get Ed to show the audience a small animal, such as a weasel or a leech. Invariably, something goes wrong and causes Ed to panic, usually bringing an abrupt end to the segment.

Ed Frid had the look of terror down pat. The skits didn't always go perfectly. I wish they had developed the character even farther. ahhh! too late now.

This show has so many likeable characters, but it's a toss-up between Ed Frid and Mike Hamar for my fave characters...

I used to watch that show...not sure why I stopped.
