At the end, Megan was the only one who understood and fully accepted Walter and loved him without condition. And that's why Walter loved her that way too and he didn't want to lose her, she was everything ... I don't think Walter is afraid to love, only that he loves in a different way that few could understand. Neither Paige, nor the rest could really deserve that place.

This whole entire scene was so emotional, I liked that Megan said that he was his heart and not to be afraid to love. I thought right there was going to be a step forward for Waige, but it sort of was and sort of wasn't. In this episode it definitely wasn't the time for a major Waige moment, but this was so sweet when Walter took her hand, just a sweet scene when he tells the family the story of when Megan pulled the fire alarm. I loved when Sean said to Sly "I'll take you home, you're family." I also really liked that the whole team was there together.

I must have watched this scene at least 15 times, and I break down every time. They understood, accepted, and loved each other so unconditionally as only siblings can. If Megan had been around, Walter and Paige would have gotten together sooner. Loved this show so much and was so disappointed with its cancellation. I'd take a "where are they now" wrap-up movie. The way it ended was not cool.

I feel very emotional. This scene cuts to my heartstrings very much, because my family has so many brothers, and yet I've always wanted a brother that I was so close to, and cared about so much, that we would do anything for each other... and I never managed to do this, not with any of them. And during this time (of the Covid pandemic)... it's almost been a relief not to have to see my brothers... I feel like most of them would look at me like Walter's parents and friends first looked at him when he returned (to Megan's ceremony in Ireland). After I watched this I almost didn't want to keep watching the show, except that I wanted to know how the couples' relationships would develop.

No one could love him till the end , the way Megan did. She was the only one who really understood him, accept his mistakes, saves him from bullies even from their parents. I think even Walter knew that no one else can love and understood him in that way. He was not afraid to love, he just knew that because of his low EQ he will definitely make some mistakes and then she will left him just like paige did, but Megan was there with him even in his mistakes.

I agree but that doesn't change that everyone acted like a bitch to Walter in the last two seasons. ESPECIALLY Paige. He deserves justice and an apology, he's honestly better off without Paige and the other three. Cabe was a symbol of loyalty.

@@notexistt9115 This was the problem with the show, everyone else evolved and he didn't. He is supposedly smarter than everyone else which would allow him to retain more than the others. If he was the same guy from Season 1 to Season 4 that would've been fine. He even says to Paige in an episode in Season 2, it isn't the strongest or the most intelligent specifies that survive and thrive but the most adaptable. So he got it, this notion of Walter having low EQ all the time became tiresome. Everyone evolves just like as Walter said everyone eventually fits in. But it seems like he regresses or worse which is ridiculous and insulting to the audience. Again the end was not written to be the end otherwise the writers were pathetic in their story telling.

The thing is Paige very much understood and loved Walter in the same way. Walter even recognized that she did. Problem is the show writers had 1 consistent theme in the show that was the 2 leads had to be in conflict all the time. Even when they became a couple they were at odds with each other. They hardly if ever had harmony which becomes tiresome after a while. Walter was afraid to give his heart up always running behind his brain which I think was the wrong approach by writers especially in Season 4. Everyone adapts otherwise it is the definition of insanity which Walter says in the 1st episode.

For the show, they decided that he should have more of an English accent. Yes, they both are from Ireland but the idea is that Walter and Megan has "Americanized" and soon Walter is expected to become an American Citizen

Walter married Happy before he worked with Homeland, so that's why he had to marry her. Meghan probably had a medical visa of some kind, probably, or Walter petitioned for her to visit as a green card holder.
