I love this Soca. I was 16 years old when i first heard this, he died the year after in 1977 and i was totally broken and upset. Continue to sing for the God's Maestro, RIP.

This was a magnificent composition of a calypso in tribute to the first (1st) Olympic Gold Medallist (in the men's 100 metres at the 1976 Montreal Olympics) Hasley Crawford. Plus the calypso sounded good being on pan too.

I remember listening to this calypso as a young child it was inspiring and very catchy always loved it and will continue to be proud of all Trinis who make us proud. What a beautiful brilliant tribute to Hasely and a true Kaisonian hoping we will continue to produce more talent like this in the future.

Hasely Crawford was an inspiration to a lot of youths in T&T when he won (including yours truly) in 1976 to run track, I remember we used to race each other pretending to be crawford, and this calypso is a classic from that time and yes clintmack28, I agree with you the "soca" they singing now is complete garbage, the kaisonians of yesteryear were poets to the highest degree, who could rhyme, sing something without saying it and put it in the correct context, their songs are timeless not so 2day
