@@RedTouch8 You can say what you'd like, but many monarchs were of a certain caliber ruler because they were raised with the specific expectation of having that station. When you live your whole childhood knowing you're destined for king, you will pay a lot more attention to global geopolitics. Captain Gorebladder may have benefitted from nepotism, but when you're in the foxhole, you'll be goddamn glad he's there.

If a goblin ever approaches me with grabby hands and says “uppies” I will pick them up. I don’t even have a choice in the matter, it’s just the only option at that point. Even if I was fighting them and I knew they were just going to use the opportunity to attack my face I’d simply have to do it. It’s like magic, a command spell, power word uppies. Any dnd character I ever make will be susceptible to this, you can’t just not give a goblin uppies like that.
