Try having your windshield tinted? Might reflect off that if you go with ceramic (which ya should). Now I gotta get this too 😑

Extreme Daily Drivers I had mine done at 80% ceramic, 13% rears, 20% fronts. It’s a little tinted on the windshield l but Being in the PNW it has dark grey days so I didn’t want too dark at night.

Great Review But how does this look during the day? I live in Florida so heat is always beating down on my windshield. I use an old Android phone with an app for my HUD. No OBD 2 but I can remove it when I need going to the store etc

Can u see that film on windshield after u apply it? Cant u cut the film down a bit, just enough to see info? It looks like you can see that film on windshield... Very annoying. Great job by the way! I'm waiting for mine to be delivered as we speak. Its not the same exact model as yours but very close in looks. I have a 2003 buick lesabre and with the one I ordered, obd wont work, just the gps mode will. And I think in gps mode, all I'll get is speedometer reading but thats all I wanted it for.

How do you calibrate the MPH? It seems like mine is about 3mph higher than what my car is registering. The directions don't really do a good job of how to calibrate. Otherwise this item is awesome!

Did you have to calibrate yours mine is 3-5 mph off the faster I go. If u know how to calibrate it could you make a short video on it.

I did not have to calibrate the MPH, but I do for the RPM. It’s the same problem. At idle it’s accurate, but once I’m up to speed it starts to be off by 500 RPM.

Extreme Daily Drivers well I have looked into it the device runs on a percentage system and u have to trail and error in calibration so I'm going to assume it's a two person job for safety reasons

Angel Almanza I agree and that’s one reason why I haven’t done it yet. Plus, I honestly don’t look at the RPM’s too much (after all, it is a 100hp xB), but I do use the digital MPH all the time.

Hey Paul, there is a button on the side of the HUD that changes the main display from Volts to MPH to KPH. Try hitting it and seeing if it makes a difference. The HUD directions should help if you have any more questions.

Paul Martin I live in Iowa and drive a 2004 Cadillac Escalade. I tried to set it up as well, but I’m only getting voltage as well, I can’t even get the rpms! I thought it might have been the car, so I switched it to my 2004 GMC Envoy, but the same thing happened. Did I get a defective product? Did I do something wrong? Or is it not compatible with my cars?

Mine seems to overheat when the sun heats up the dash (who would have thought that the das would get hot). Then all it does is make a chirping sound until I turn it off. Great idea but the product is junk.

I have the exact same problem. While driving my car on a sunny 65+ degree day, it will suddenly freeze at what ever MPH it was at and emit a loud buzzer sound. My only option is to unplug it from the OBD2 Slot. I am still trying to find a way to solve this problem because I cannot send it in for RMA because I purchased it late in the Fall, just as Winter was starting. I had no issues all Winter long. It was not until spring, when the temperature started to rise that it started to happen. I really love this thing and now that summer is starting up again, I cannot use it during the day. I have gotten so used to it. I am trying to find a solution. One thing I have noticed is that when it freezes, the Non-Slip pad that it came with that it sits on is very hot because it is black and as we all know the darker the color of an object is, the more light it absorbs. I am going to try and replace the pad with a pure white one if I can find one. My only concern with that is that a white pad will reflect onto the round reflector sticker way more then the back one does. I may first try to find a transparent/clear one instead, or one that is much lighter, but not white. Another thing I may try is to do if I have to is pull it apart, try to identify if there is a electronic component/part causing it to overheat, then maybe insulate it or replace it with a better quality part. The best option, but not preferred option, is to install a very tiny fan on it to keep it cool. I will update this if I end up finding a solution that works.

I gotta say auto zone has the same thing under a different name and it cost more and comes with less stuff ..I bought it and I didn't get the "cage" but instead it comes with a clip of n HUD display so you don't have to use the film if you don't want but it has a very limited viev. Like your video but your HUD is CROOKED. Btw ocd is a bitch.

I actually bought this piece of junk because you had said how awesome it is but man it's a piece of crap it does not read right and the big mirror sticker on front of the windshield is illegal in my state plus not to mention the distraction it is I got to say bro I don't agree with you on this one I would not recommend this product I returned it to Amazon the same day I received it. This is stupid. I saw this at walmart and was going to pick it up but wanted to read some reviews first. Trash! They want you to stick a big, ugly and clearly visible disk on your windshield. Nah, I'll pass! And what car are you driving talking about $30 for a quarter tank of gas? $30 fills me up from empty.
