Scotland Cairngorms and Speyside Walk, with Wheelie Radical Design

Can’t carry a rucksack anymore: bad knees. So I got myself a ‘rucksack on wheels’: a Wheelie, made by Dutch company Radical Design. This hiking trailer gets me to all sorts of outdoor places, even when the going gets rough. This time: Cairngorms and Speyside Walk in Scotland. No trouble with moors and muddy or rocky trails!

Hi Joop, Bedankt voor de video! Hoe gedraagt de wheelie zich op de smalle uitgeholde paadjes? Daarmee bedoel ik dan als het pad zelf veel smaller is als de breedtemaat tussen je 2 wielen, zodanig dat de wielen dan wat over en weer liggen te botsen in de grassen en stenen. Zoals op het 0:54 en 01:20 stukje van je video bijvoorbeeld. De stabiliteit van de 2 wielen spreekt me aan ten opzichte van bijvoorbeeld een Monowalker, maar ik zie het nut van de Monowalker wel op smalle paadjes omdat die in je voetsporen volgt. Alvast bedankt voor je antwoord en nogmaals mooie video.

Great video with lovely music! I am considering a Wheelie for South West Coast Path in the UK. I see from youtubes from various walkers on this path that it has several stairs to help walkers with climbs. How does the Wheelie handle stairs? I don't think it would be practical for me to take it apart and carry it up stairs like a backpack too many times. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
