That’s the thing, Scotland is even more beautiful when the weather is ‘moody’, lovely with the sunshine but there’s something ethereal about it when the clouds are low and darkening, just gorgeous
@SeanandEmily
@SeanandEmily 4 ай бұрын
Totally agree! Thankfully it was just the right amount of moody to keep the cameras rolling 😉. With the cloud lingering over the isles it really made it look like a mystical land, guessing every visit feels different. Thanks for watching 😎👍🏻

And visited Ireland 3 times since 2014, the last 2018 visit I rented a Motorcycle and toured around for 2 weeks. I normally stay away from 30 min videos, but today I was so tired I had a nanna nap about 5pm til 6pm and now I cant sleep and its gone midnight and just fancied a relaxed watch. Anyway, I saw the video title and thought , yeah go on I'll give it a watch, purely because my son Morgan and I did the NC500 last year, a proper dad and lad trip, took it nice and easy over 7 days and I was interested to reminisce a little by watching this because without doubt my favourite part of the trip was from Applecross up to the North West. So, after watching this I am now tee'ing up the previous episode and may I say what a thoroughly enjoyable video this was, beautifully filmed, expertly narrated, and you guys are just naturals on camera. Again terrific watch, very entertaining, subscribed and Morgs and I look forward to watching your other adventures, keep up the great content and maybe see you on the road sometime. @@SeanandEmily Hi,the Yanks research nothing prior to doing a reaction video. Stayed in Applecross fourteen yrs on the trot. The house off the road with the Car you both talked about is an excellent B&B and when you turned off into Sheildaig, the island with the trees attracts two Sea Eagles that can be seen regularly flying around during the spring and summer periods hopefully breeding. If only you had gone then to Torridon. A single track road takes you over a mountain to a beautiful bay but time and weather was against you. Next time try the Appldcross Inn. Food is wonderful and then just further up that particular road is an island in a bay with resting seals. A wonderful sight

Really enjoyed your last three videos in Scotland. It was so funny to see Tim Horton's in Glasgow of all places! Nothing says Canada like a great hockey player and Tim Horton was one of the best. I remember when he was still playing hockey in the NHL and he started Tim Horton's Donuts. In Canada we refer to the business as Timmy's. As for the riding I remember all the narrow roads in Scotland we rode like you have done exploring. One sure can't make time traveling over there also the constant mist that seems to be everywhere particularly in the morning. We live in Western Canada and it's a dry climate here. Things dry out quickly. Scotland was really different. We just completed a roughly 400 km. ride on our last day. It was warm and my poor wife Susan was falling asleep on the back of the bike. When you folks put on your heated vests it reminded me of our travels last year Susan would turn up the heat on her electric vest she said it felt like a sunny day at home in no time she was so sleepy. Happy Trails.

Thanks and great to hear you are enjoying the series! Yeah i hadn't seen a Timmy's since i lived in Canada for a snow season (lived in Revelstoke BC) so was funny to see in Glasgow of all places. Yeah that mist creates a very unique atmosphere and makes it all the more magical. Electric vests are amazing and the instant heat really enables us to keep going without having to layer up. Great to hear you enjoyed your travels around Scotland and we hope to make it out to Canada in the coming years. 😎👍

Maybe you'll get a chance in the future where a return visit delivers you some warmer temperatures , honestly it can be glorious warm on the West coast.

Theses temperatures for us were perfect, would much rather be a tad bit cold than too hot -although it would have been nice to go into the sea for a dip 😀, this series was filmed earlier on in the year (May) so i guess if we came back in summer time it would be warmer for sure. One of the little islands you passed was Gruinard which during the war was used by the government to conduct experiments with anthrax as a possible weapon. The deliberate spore contamination of the island, occurred during British military testing of explosives. Spores remained viable for 36 years after the experiments. Following protests including the dumping of soil supposedly from Gruinard at the door of 10 Downing Street, Gruinard Island was declared anthrax-free after decontaminating it in stages between 1979 and 1987.
