Wow wow wow….. Scotland continues to amaze.!! The dramatic coastal views and cliffs are outstanding, just to be topped off with the two ( what you call stacks). All of this to be topped off with the beautiful weather…… we are not supposed to be envious, but y’all are so fortunate to be doing this for a living. ( I do know that are only seeing the glamorous side of this motorcycle travel, as there are always inherent down side to motorcycle travels, y’all make it look so easy. Safe travels
@SeanandEmily2 ай бұрын
Yeah it really does, every day a new spectacular vista! The weather really has made this a trip to remember and enabled the cameras to be rolling most of the day which was awesome! Actually we also work full time in order to afford these travels and any time off we have is used for trips like this (haven't had a 'holiday' in years but would probably be bored sitting on a beach lol) to be able to do this for a living is of course the dream. Yeah motorcycle travel does of course come with some struggles but the highs outweigh any difficulties, we hope to show others that motorcycle isn't so difficult as others might have us believe and share all the info that has helped us. Thanks for following the journey and we look forwards to hearing form you in the next episode 😎👍

Fantastic photography and editing. My first 100 mph in a car was when I was a young man on the long straight road north into Wick. I really enjoyed watching this. You have had wonderful weather. You do an excellent job with your camera work. I really like the drone footage. We did not get to the far north of Scotland when we visited there so this has been wonderful. Our weather has been good here in Alberta +30's so mornings are a good time to ride. We did do some riding on the east coast down to Edinburgh. It was lovely though the weather wasn't quite as nice at the time. I read in a recent reply that you spent some time in Revelstoke BC. That is a great place nice roads to the south. In the winter there is EPIC skiing there. We were there last winter when we skied the Powder Highway. We used our camper. I will look forward to your next video. Hope the nice weather holds.

Hadn’t realised it was back in May you did this. That explains the great editing and production. JoG has improved greatly - probably due to the NC500. It used to be dire. I’ve not seen much drone footage of the Stacks of Duncansby - so it was fantastic to see yours. Scotland is a great country - I think you have done it proud with your vlog. But….. dinner on the floor in the hotel room 😮. Great fish and chips in Brora, and I believe ‘La Mirage’ restaurant/chip shop is still on the go - Was operated by a woman (name escapes me) Who styled herself on Barbara Cartland (who had visited a couple of times) - whole place decorated in pink with a plastic palm plant in the middle………….. BUT - good grub. 😅
@SeanandEmily2 ай бұрын
Yeah, the trip would have needed to be twice as long to be able to edit them on the road and 4 weeks was as long as we had. We hear that the NC500 name has created a lot more visitors now that the route has a name! Totally agree Scotland is amazing and we are happy that we were able to document it the way we did -the great weather played a big part in that too 😊. Had enough Fish and chips to last a while lol 😉 We have been stung too many times with not finding food that we want to eat or restaurants closing, so if we are arriving late we always stop off at a supermarket beforehand. Hehe that would have been worth stopping by for though! 😂

It's open all year round and only 35 miles from my house so it's a regular stop for a coffee when I am out for a run on my bike

Nice place to live👍 Yeah i think that would become our regular stopping place if we lived that close too

Holy cow, narrow road up there. Of course, I have a question - I just did a 3 day stint in Vermont and I'm wondering how often you change your GoPro batteries? They seem to drain really quickly. Also, when Emily isn't filming, where does she put her camera/pole? I'm sure her arm gets tired, right? Thanks Sean, great job as always. .... Jim C

Hehe yeah these narrow roads are a standard feature of the UK and Ireland 😆. Yeah it's true the batteries don't last so long, we carry 6 batteries with us, the front camera is wired into the bike for charging and we can keep the others charging via one of the USB C ports on the bike. The alternator on the GS is so powerful that we can pretty much charge everything whilst on the move -even the drone batteries can charge. Em just rest it on her legs or puts in in one of the soft boxes on top of the panniers, they are easy enough to open form the pillion seat. Thanks for watching Jim 😎👍

Well! Who knew! Dunnett Head latitude is 58°North, the top of Denmark is 57° North. Apparently, some of Norway, some of Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, bits of Canada and Russia.... I hadn't appreciated it was THAT far north! Particularly since I live in Plymouth in the far south west of UK at 52° North.... Random!!!
@SeanandEmily2 ай бұрын
Yeah it's amazing isn't it, it is as you say even more North than we thought it was. I guess it's not something one would think about, but when we were touring Norway on the Heading North Tour we noticed how North Scotland actually is.

Hi, are these water proof clothing? If so where can I purchase. Hope to get my v strom soon and travel Scotland. I’m from Fife. Awesome videos 👍

Hi, yes they are Waterproof -a rainy day in Wales proved they were too 😊 Congratulations on the Vstrom! The suits are form Touratech and we talk about them in the first episode of this series: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnPMap-igrSSsNUsi=nytJ8Q1OPwF7680j

Apparently John O’ Groats was named after Jan de Groot a chap who operated a ferry from the harbour to Orkney Islands back in the 1400’s

Ahh interesting, with so much going on we didn't even think about the origins of the name! cheers 😎👍

The footage and music combo at 25 mins is insane. Anyone know the name of this score?

Hi, thanks very much! We appreciate your comment, can’t keep track of all these song names but Shazam usually picks them up 😎👍🏻

I think it's from a band called Dream Cave

Hi Sean - sorry, one more question for Emily - my wife Brenda is not happy with her motorcycle pants, and she is petite as well. Does Emily have any recommendations for pants that fit well and are comfortable? Thanks very much.
@SeanandEmily2 ай бұрын
Hi Jim, the best motorcycle gear out there for women is from BMW, they fit so well and are very comfortable. Touratech also do good sizes for women. 😎👍

Where did you find the kilometres from, we do not have any in Scotland. 😋
@SeanandEmily2 ай бұрын
We brought them with us from Switzerland, but then fuelled up in Litres, bought food in grams and the weather was in degrees Celsius -even whisky was being sold in Litres! 😳 oh no even our bike’s engine is measured in cubic centimetres 🙈😉
