Beautiful video! Millie is the cutest! This is exactly the type of trip we want to take our Cockerpoo on this year! We wanted to go to Scotland so this has given me an idea of where to go!

A Highland Doodle Dash by the loch. I'm planning a hike up Ben Nevis with our Merlin. He's the same colour as Millie.

Good luck to you and Merlin climbing Ben Nevis! I think I'm going to do a video on climbing it with a dog.

@@MillieaCockapoo we very much look forward to it and to your video. We've climbed Snowdon twice and latterly Cader Idris in North Wales just last week. Other than Merlin's food and water, I also have a spare lead, flashy-light collar and bell, his jumper and coat, a bowl, his snacks, and I take a full 'Doggy First Aid Kit I made up, separate to my own. My fun tip in case of a hurt paw on the rocks needing a bandage is to go to the local bike shop beforehand and they'll have loads of old inner tubes going for free in a box somewhere. Find one big enough to fit a paw through and cut a piece as long as their leg. If needed, bandage paw up, stick paw half way up the tube, fold behind leg and tape up to secure it - Instant Cockapoo welly! Trust me it works, especially after kissing said paw better, first. Enjoy.

Sounds like you and Merlin go on lots of great adventures! Thank you for the wheelie tip, I’ve never heard that one before but it sounds a amazing!

Thank you for sharing your holiday with us, it looks beautiful up there, and Millie was having the time of her life. Just wondered how Millie travels in the car? My Dexter is 6 months old and we're trying to take him out and about as much as possible, but he can get a bit car sick. Hes better if someone can sit on the back seat with him but that's not always doable. Many thanks.

We had a great time, thank you for watching! In general Millie is good in the car. However she went through a phase from 6-9 months where she would make herself sick. Basically whenever I but the handbrake on, she thought that meant she was getting out of the car. Then when we didn’t, she would cry and make herself sick. To help reduce her being sick, I always strap her in via her harness so she doesn’t pull against her neck. Try to not feed her within 2 hours of driving. Always take her for a walk before a journey. I’ve also noticed that if someone is in the back she does a lot better, and if I make sure she’s cool.

Do you have any tips and tricks for letting her off in an open space? We have an extendable lead for our poo so she gets that run around, and when we let her off it’s in a space that we feel comfortable with. We would love to let her off in a forest or holidays. I’m just so worried she’d get distracted.

It’s all down to just practicing recall in different places. If you’re ever in doubt, keep them on the lead. Here is a link to a video about my recall tips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2W3inxjp52iZ6M
