@@WalkWithWallace cheers dude, just watched ya vlogging set up with ya hero7 (it's the same camera I use) do you have to be careful in the wet weather having that door off or is it pretty hardy?
@WalkWithWallace5 жыл бұрын
@@Impalaontrail if its wet weather, I ping the door back on. Started using a wind slayer, works a treat, costs a couple of bucks off ebay.

Enjoyed the video Robin and given it the thumbs up as you requested. The Ruigh Aiteachain Bothy has certainly had a brilliant make-over. The last time I was there was in the mid 1990s. Love Glen Feshie. Cheers ⛺️

Cheers Mike, that's going back a bit. The bothy is fab and Glen Feshie is coming on nicely with the regeneration.

oooh, a mountain ringlet! the secondary path above the Storm Frank damage is quite broken down now and difficult, you have to clamber a bit more than that looks like.
@WalkWithWallace3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the damage Storm Frank has left is still visible. I was back earlier this year and found the old track had been washed away further up the Glen.

We were quite surprised, wondered if the bank holiday weekend put folk off thinking it would be busy?

I have been caught vlogging a couple of times and singing outload once (could have sworn there was nobody for miles) but so what lol. Great hike into the bothy and it indeed does look 5 * compared to some I have seen and like you, surprised that there was nobody there, apart from the two with the dog. Always enjoy a good outtake at the end lol! Cheers Alan

Haha, it's a bit embarrassing. They stood and waited until I finished, but it put me off my stride. 😁 Is the singing scene on your channel?
@AlanMETALMAN6 жыл бұрын
No thank goodness lol. I was just happy to be out to be honest, great day, weather was brilliant, as was the hike and I had not seen anyone all day, so was feeling pretty good, until I opened my mouth lol!

Good watch lads. The bothy is a belter, we chose to wild camp last night just across the river at 5:17 on your vid but went to bed in the middle of heavy rain and woke up to a highland swarm allbeit no rain. Gave the new tents a good test out though and enjoyed it, will visit again and make use of the bothy.
@WalkWithWallace6 жыл бұрын
Cheers Andrew, ironically that's where we were going to camp too as it looked decent from higher up. We decided against as the Feshie looked deep in places and we didn't have our river crossing aqua shoes packed. Bothy is fab, lucky to get it fairly quiet.

Nice video Robin. Thanks for posting. What is that hand held weather thingummy and what does it do? Temperature? Wind Speed? Humidity? Air pressure?
@WalkWithWallace2 жыл бұрын
Hey Madcat, it's the Kestrel 2000 I've got. It does air temperature, wind speed and wind chill. There's more advanced models that do pressure and humidity too.

Walk With Wallace: Yeah that’s ‘Head For The Hills’ invention. Credit where credit’s due. Lovely.
Walk With Wallace: In all seriousness, your use of the recipe shows that it’s now a ‘ household ‘ name. Drunk throughout the land from east to west and north to south. Well done in spreading the word.
