This video gives a detailed overview of the Royal Scots Fusiliers, the infantry regiment of south-west Scotland with a wide and long array of military honours particularly Blenheim, Inkerman and the Battle of France.

I served in the RHF from 1975 to 1987 and travelled all over the world if I had any chance of returning i would be there in seconds I enjoyed every minute of my 12 years service I am a passionate and loyal x soldier who was dedicated to my job and my comraids of which some were lost in conflict mainly northern ireland where I served 3 years your video has taught me things about the RSF and the HLI which I was not aware very interesting and informational video great good to watch Cheers Ian

My grandfather served in the Royal Scots Fusiliers from 1923-32, including with the 2nd battalion in India. He rejoined the battalion in 1939.

My grandfather served in the 2nd battalion RSF 1921-1928 and my brother served 23 years in the RHF and 4 Scots. My father served in the ACC and 28 years in 1/52 Lowland Volunteers. My family has a great history associated with this regiment.

I was a former Gordon Highlander and left the Regiment and took my discharge in 1969. I miss the lads of my old Regiment and the camaraderie we had. Many a lad has now passed awa but I still think of them and the closeness of our friendships. March no more ma Soldier Laddies............!

My great grandfather died 27th March 1918 aged 34, he's remembered with honour at Ramleh war cemetery.

That could definitely be possibility, I'm gonna do famous battles fought on Scottish soil later on so the Jacobite rising will be covered when talking about Culloden. And yeah perhaps I could do Famous Scots at do a video on those too!

My uncle was in 2nd Battalion 1939 - 1944 - died in Belgium in 1944. I wonder if they knew each other.

My grandfather lied about his age to join RSF at the outbreak of WW1. He was recalled for WW2 and ended up as Regimental Sgt Major.

I think you'll find. The Royal Scots are the oldest regiment in Scotland. 1633. First of foot

With all due respect to the Royal Scots Fusiliers, the oldest regiment in the British Army is the Honourable Artillery Company founded in 1537 under a Royal charter granted by King Henry VIII.
