The fact that tony was using his trowel to scrape the top of that stonework made me shiver when he could have used a brush,he was scraping and marking that original surface.

One of the best museums in the world - and my favorite place to visit in Edinburgh - The National Museum of Scotland. And my grandbabies (6 and 4) are growing up there. They know that museum top to bottom and confidently set out for their favorite spots. So much for curious children to see, touch, explore. Thanks for posting this - fascinating.

oh that was a marvellous wonderful little trip thousands of years away from our boring routine 21 century. I love this kind of rescuing and sharing with the fans so generously - I am looking forward to seeing you two and the teams again in future, greetings Crissy

I have had the privilege of going to the Orkney islands and loved the ancient history and wildlife, I even had the experience of pulling a sheep out of a bog and had to scramble past nesting sea birds and got spat at with a yellow nasty smelling liquid trying to wash off the poo and pee as the sheep was just a visible head so had to get right into the bog to rescue this poor sheep and it went on its knees when i pulled it out and ate like mad, so glad i wandered about but kept well clear of nesting birds and even got attacked by a Bonxie. Grat skua. Enjoyed everything and the local people are fantastic 👌

Having seen many of the carved round stones i honestly think they're curved in mainly in the winter times and are decorative items showing the greatest designs that people could come up with, Not weapons in any way at all.

35:12 About the Pictish caves, I know this is awful to hear. However, it is slightly funny if you know Fife... a car somehow ending up inside a cave and then it getting set on fire is exactly the kind of mental stuff that happens all the time there (I don't live in Fife, but next to it and have lots of friends from there). In a way, it could be seen as evidence of how Fife might still retain some of their mad Pictish culture 😂

the reason for the 2 fish on ring was because it was of the precession year of Pisces the 2 fish a 2150 year period, the next one is year of Aquarius. This is also why we see the sign 'Jesus Love you' in a symbol of a fish

Serious question. Was these really dug into the ground, or was it all above ground and over all the years dirt and erosion burried them.
