Thanks for uploading. Well done England, especially for the running game in the first half, but why then change and kick so much possession to Scotland in the second half? The cunning plan to throw passes over Abbi Dow's head worked well, giving England more chances to win Scottish lineouts.

Not seen this game, so tnx for posting. The ref/touch judge should really look to Lana Skeldon's throw-in technique, as she is in breach of Law 18, section 22 almost every throw.

Beats me how the kicker for conversions don't allow for that wind.

The 1st half punishment on Amy Cokayne was too harsh as the Scottish player was lifted by 2 players unintentionally.

I may be wrong, many be the women commenter speak of feelings, rather than ' the what and how'; also too much of other things that is happening. Winning is from individual, who in the team should make the 'difference, too much generalisation, few facts.

Every time I hear this commentator whose name is, i believe, Sara Orchard of the BBC, I cringe. Her patronising comments, not commentarey, shows her ignorance of the game of Rugby Union.

Orchard ruined an otherwise enjoyable experience. As usual. You get the impression that she thinks she is providing commentary to blind eight year olds...

Sorry for the spoiler. What I cannot compehend is that England played large parts of he game with only 14 women and Scotland failed to score. I will give them the first half as thenweather ws so bad but the second half?

Just listened to Jade Konkel's comments at the end of the game concerning how to close the gap to England, and her response was "time". She quotes that Ireland in 2013 were the team to beat, yet in 2014 England won the world cup, hammering Ireland (40-7) in the semi-final, so time was needed for that? Jade, you have played for Harlequins since 2018, in the professional leagues of England and, by my count, 22 of 33 of the current Scotland squad play in the PWR, the best league in the world (else your team mates would be in France (1 is) or southern hemisphere leagues). How much time do you need? Two thirds play in england (for how long, not sure) but time is not the answer as England just go to the PWR and find player after player to fill in/take over for injury/maternity/retirement etc. Scotland have the Celtic Challenge, Fran McGhie, for example of a break through player (who now plays for Leicester Tigers so you have the PWR too), ok the Celtic Challenge was launched in 2023, just like WXV (which you won, WXV 2), so that need time to find more "Fran McGhie's" but think, for 1 min, for one player in at the bottom, one maybe lost at the top age, so no real development, so time irrelevant. The real change will be when their coaching staff stop saying "draw a line under that loss" and instead draw the hard lessons from it. Are you good enough as players to beat England? As players if you answer "yes", then why are you not? If "no", just hang your boots up. Time is not the answer, you, the players are and whilst your coaching staff brought you to 5 or 6 wins, they also brought you all the losses since 2020!

You can’t improve if you take that attitude, you have to think next year I’m going to be better and think that one day you are going to be the best. If the players who aren’t good enough are the best that you’ve got they have to play.

@@paulm2467 I get your point but, if you assume professional contracts need time to "bed in", Scotland and Wales have had contract for the same time (approx), so forgetting them, Wales, since 2002 have consistantly placed higher in the 6 Nations than Scotland, Italy have also, since they joined in 2007. Are Welsh and italian players just better than Scots? The vast majority of the Italian players play in the Italian domestic league, Scots and Welsh play in the PWR. Does that say the Italian league is better? Striving to be better year on year is laudable, and if it indeed has happened, then it has happened across the 6 Nations, in effect eliminating any "closing" of the gap. Contracts may help, sure, but they will not be a panacea. Simon Middleton was involved with England for 10 years or so but what he will remember is that he never won the world cup, despite all the achievements. Players can train to improve themselves, but it is the Middletons, Cunninghams and Eassons of the world thal mould they and must take ultimate responsibility for gap remaining open

Congrats to England.Where was England’s dominance when they lost the World Cup to the Kiwis?England should concentrate on the World Cup,instead of the 6 Nations,if you ask me.

did you miss the part when early in the game England had a player sent off,, so for most of the game they played with a player short, even under those circumstances they almost won.

I think they need to pension Mo Hunt off now. Lost count of how many times she got caught and all she does is moan to the rest of the team and the ref. Time to bring back Infante.

What the HELL are those commentator drinking? All they kept saying was that Scotland suffered because of the weather conditions ,,, I believe that BOTH TEAMS WERE PLAYING ON THE SAME PARK; SO THEREFORE THE WEATHER CONDITIONS APPLIED TO BOTH TEAMS! When England scored; those same commentators stated it is too easy for England, what an INSULT TO THE SCOTTISH DEFENCE. , Scotland kick the ball high into AIR; where the wind will blow it back at them and MOORE shouts out that the weather conditions are awful. England in BOTH halves of this match dealt with the weather conditions better than Scotland, they have better MANAGEMENT. The kicker Scotland brought on at half time should have been on from the start of the match, so she had the wind at her back and could kick for Goal (with so many penalties flying around). The first sending off was incorrect, there are TWO not one England player lifting the Scotland player off the ground and then lowered her to the ground, therefore if it is deemed a sending off offence then BOTH SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT OFF and why then, in the Second half when a Scottish player lifted an England player in the same manor and dumped the English player to the ground, no penalty awarded, no review and therefore no sending off. Once again the commentator say nothing. England are the No.1 team in the world because they are well trained, act as a UNIT, the forward are superb, the backs are fantastic (DOW is a master) and have a management team that works with the players to get the best out of each other, It is not luck but hard work that only France and New Zealand can match. Do not knock England for being the best, praise them for the hard work they put in. Nobody knocks America's women's football team for being the No.1, nobody knocks Spain for having the best European women's football team, so why knock ENGLAND WOMENS RUGBY TEAM FOR BEING THE BEST?
