I think Russell seemed very rusty today. Some of his passes were questionable. I think that’s the promising thing for Scotland. Some of their best players were not 100% at the races, but the rest of the team were good enough to get the job done. If not for a couple of unlucky moments this would’ve been a 40 point game

5 tries to 1 with Italy never threatening the line until the very end (other than an interception try of course). Other teams need to take note that that Italy can keep themselves in a match with penalties and could pull off a shock. Italy to beat England for the first time? In Rome, anything can happen.

Thought George Horne coming on in the second half picking up the pace of ball from the breakdown had a huge impact on outcome. Two great scrum halfs in White and Horne, and harsh on Horne, but think it helps Scotland more having him come on in the second half when defences are fatiguing.

Jordan made a difference and could be physically big enough lad to withstand the likes of Aki? He seems a ibis game player. Scotland pack will need to be more dominant vs Ireland to win that one. Finn needs more than 5 days prep before a 6N match even he can’t achieve that with a new 12!

I agree also, Tom indeed can out play Aki. He has the size and aggression to counter attack Aki.

Jordan coming on changed the pace of the game. Just get Jamie Dobie and Jordan on the bench and run a 6-2 split.

This was a very enjoyable match to watch It had alot of really skillful rugby from both teams and had quite a bit of tension through out

Not the best game for the muscle, but he will come good for the big games. Huw Jones was awesome. Italy were as predicted, they will hurt and beat some teams for sure. Great analysis mate!

Comfortable enough for Scotland in the end, just need to cut out the soft periods. Based on this weekend, would predict Scotland finish 3rd behind Ireland and France. England will take a beating in Paris and go into the third weekend heads down, lose at Twickenham, then pick up consolation wins vs Wales and Italy for fourth place.

Italy coaching was clever, no15. Tomassa Allan pts from kicks kept them in it Finn has played non-stop for BATH and it shows. Huw Jones awesome, Darcy Graham created trys too

Italy conceded too much easy try at the first match minutes. If they don't get rid of that attitude they will never keep the match really opened, cause chasing the opponent is way tiring than containing him.
