Some strange reffing in this game too. It generally felt like he was giving Japan every opportunity to get a win. All the 50/50s going to Japan. It feels like the rule was, if I can justify it, I'll give it. Someone penalties at the breakdown given within a second. Particularly the not rolling away being interpreted as not rolling away in the direction I'd like you to.

Its the red jersey. The ref thought Japan were Wales.

Love how the Japanese play - at pace, always going straight with ball held out reading to pass, put men in space - and tackle really really well. Really well coached. Fit. Don't cheat (like the ahem All Blacks). Brilliant to watch.

Should never be THAT close when you win the try count 4-1. Lots to work on, especially the line out.

That was partially due to Scotland kicking to the corner and Japan kicking for points

More penalties from tackles for the Blossoms, but it may have been fair if Scotland indeed tried to slow the game too much. Any accusation of cheating has to be put down by the Scottish try awarded in spite of being created by an obvious forward pass at 05:11 (3 or 4 meters forward !!). Japan felt clumsy from these highlights : less fluent and fast than in the World Cup. Maybe they're trying to become a more standard rugby team and it has not been completely worked out so far ?

Scotland always gives away too many penalties. Most of the opposition points come from penalties.

Japan has no attack plan that they think they can win from only penalty kick
@david05GD3 жыл бұрын
The plan is : we advance and if we happen to reach the end zone it's good for us. Ahah you're right not enough to win. They lack tactic, power, size, they are not mature. Scottish went easy on them honestly but they are improving for sure.
@carosardahenriques.de-gran75332 жыл бұрын
Japan please you can't win games kicking three points why didn't you employ the lineouts and use it to implement set piece you scored from a lineout , be a little more adventurous you'll need in the RWC next year , Jamie Joseph there was every opportunity to win this game

Japan is too cowardly to win, always taking the safe penalty instead of kicking for touch, that wasn’t the case in their great victories

Scottish defence is really tough these days just watch some of there games this year first half against SA prime example of why Japan didn't feel comfortable kicking to the corner. And we were giving away too much penalties it's am obvious choice we've had a discipline issues all autumn
