There are some dirty people about. The A5 by-pass by us is full of litter along the carriageway, people must throw it out of the window when driving down there. That Tarbet Pier looked nice, I guess there was no overnighting there. In any event, a lovely lunch spot 😀

Yes, you're allowed to overnight at Tarbet Pier, but we wanted to make more ground up and there's not much walking for Nook so we didn't stay. It is a very popular place though, but very nice. The road when you come off the M6 at Spaghetti is disgraceful. It's just absolutely disgusting. As you say, some car drivers are just as disgraceful with this behaviour but if people see campervans, it has to be us.

I know what you mean about rubbish everywhere. Where I live in Essex our roads are terrible, with double whammy of rubbish and potholes galore. People just can't be bothered to take rubbish home with them, or don't want to spoil their precious cars. My car is like a tip sometimes but at least I take it home. Lovely Scotland again, thanks for these videos. Love Linda.
@roaminginraymond

It's quite depressing Linda. When we used to have to get off at Spaghetti Junction to go to Karl's house, it was embarrassing the amount of litter at the roadside in the kerb. Yep, people don't want to ruin their precious cars but they take it to these places in the first place. Makes me so angry. Yes, Scotland is lovely. Thanks for watching and commenting, always appreciated.☺️

What lovely views of Loch doon, i really love the views from the drone ,,just amazing,, I went there a few weeks back and never stayed there as there was tents and vans in every lay-by, I did stop and speak to a ranger who said he was litter picking and removing tents that had been left by party goers , I can't believe people buy a tent just to party and just leave it and also leave lots off rubbish,, what is happening with people.., I was speaking to him for about 45min and left so depressed that people are like that , PS "a lost peanut....EAT it", thanks for showing us how some people are, all I can say is that it's not everyone who is like that, just a lot !!! Just want to say Great video and no your not snobby. I have solo motorcycle camped all over Scotland for years and the "covid years" have been awful. I do accept that people who usually holiday abroad want to get away but there is no excuse for leaving rubbish behind. I quite often end up picking up other people's litter because I don't want to be accused of leaving it myself.
@roaminginraymond
@roaminginraymond 2 жыл бұрын
Yes we do the same, we hate litter and just can't stand seeing it ruining these beautiful places. Last year after the first lockdown was the worst. When we could travel further but not stay out was awful as we'd go to places we'd been before that are normally fairly quiet and they were rammed and just full of litter everywhere.
@CamperVanya
@CamperVanya 2 жыл бұрын
I seek quiet places too. Even though certain places are busy it shouldn’t mean drop your litter - utter scum bags. Nothing snobby about despising litter louts. Loch Doon looked really beautiful, the colours and the aerial shots too. Beautiful window view 😍. I don’t mind shorter videos (a lot of mine are) I think it’s mostly about the content. I’d this was 1st April are you back out now? Take care, Sue 😊
@roaminginraymond
@roaminginraymond 2 жыл бұрын
We're leaving in a couple of days Sue but only for a short one as it's my daughters birthday the 30th. Yeah Loch Doon is stunning and it takes your breath away when you first encounter it. But it was Friday night and there were tents and vans turning up, some with loads of alcohol in the back of the cars and that's not our thing at all so best just to leave. But have to say it was much cleaner than when we went last year after the first lockdown. That was just utterly depressing with smashed bottles in the river being the icing on the cake for us. Nice to see it being respected again.

Spectacular as it is Loch Lomond seems to attract loads of disrespectful campers leaving their litter discriminatly, thoughtless and selfish parking. It doesn't matter the time of year as we have passed by during the height of winter and its still the same. As you know and have captured wonderfully in this video alone, there is more to Scotlands beauty than Loch Lomond. The colours ruggedness and reflections in Loch Doon are very beautiful too. Unfortunately a lot of people don't know how to respect nature for themselves yet alone others, so sad 😢

Agree Patricia. Loch Lomond is a stunning place, but it does get overrun, hence the permits for overnighting. This car park was for a Lochan on the way to Loch Lomond coming from the North. We love Loch Doon but even that isn't the same as it was, but it was much cleaner than Loch Lomond and much cleaner than it was last year after lockdown. I agree with you, there’s no excuse to leave litter or rubbish behind, all we leave are some tyre marks, and so long as the grounds not too soft we avoid doing that as well. The more places spoilt by people leaving rubbish behind the more chance wild camping will be banned. The few that leave it (and it may not be campers) give the camping community a bad name.
