I'm a new All Blacks fan. I've watched a ton of old matches, this sunmer. I started watching the Breakdown. It took me a minute to realize Jeff Wilson is the same guy on the show. Funny. Him & Mils both played fullback.

Do you also think Rugby was better pre/early professional? Like these 90s games. The game turned professional in 1995/96 in case you didn't know. It was a lot less structured & more free-flow back then, & players didn't professionally waste time every stoppage & there wasn't a TMO that also wastes time. They just got on with the scums as well, along with the big impact as the front rows engaged, & you didn't have the hulking gym beasts which helped with the space & agility. Btw, some facts about Jeff Wilson, who I idolised when I was growing up. - He also played cricket for NZ, making the team as a teenager before also making the All Blacks as a teenager later in the same year. He then went back to cricket after a lengthy All Blacks career & got picked for a few more matches. He even played in the first ever T20 International vs Australia, which is a hugely popular cricket format now. I see you're American, so maybe you're not familiar with cricket (basically our version of baseball), but you can search it up on youtube if you're not. So him playing Rugby & cricket for NZ is like Bo Jackson playing in the NFL & MLB. - His 44 test tries for the All Blacks (60 tests) made him the all-time leading test try scorer for the All Blacks at one point, since surpassed. - At age-grade level he also represented NZ in basketball & won national titles in track & field. - In secondary/high school, he once played a Rugby match in which he scored 66 points (9 tries & 15 conversions), which would be 75 points in today's game as tries were only 4 points back then. - He was nicknamed "Goldie" or "The Golden One", owing to both his golden hair & his all-round sporting talent. Which you probably still hear on 'The Breakdown' today.

Those Scottish jerseys are crazy. Love them, but it doesn't seem very Scottish. Maybe better for a club team, or different colors.

Maybe because of Irn-Bru, a popular Scottish soft drink whose can colour is orange.
