I am not sure if its me being busier or the fact that the winters seems to be much shorter and milder, but I have struggled to get out and up any routes over the last few years. I like to try and ascend at least Broad Gully once a year! Are the winters getting shorter (I think I know the answer to this) and are the stocks of Irn Bru Jelly Babies replenished - that's the real question of interest ;) !!!!!!!!

Winters definitely getting not just milder but wetter as well. Really beginning to not like winter anymore. I long for those cold dry winter days or snowy days in Yorkshire and we pretty much had nothing but rain this winter. Good to see you’ve both replenished the jelly babies 😀 and watching you and Gerry is like watching the two Ronnie’s of the Scottish Mountains 😂. Any how thanks for another great video Murray 😀

Jelly babies. Nice and sweet . Mars bars done in batter that is another planet. Hiking is place of home to Celtic Nations. From Cornwall to Scotland Northern Ireland. If the weather is bad stick on a coat.

This was such a fun video to watch! ⛰ I love how you guys always make winter adventures seem so exciting, even when the conditions aren't ideal. It's definitely inspiring me to get out there. 😆 The discussion about crampon rock vs. sunscreen rock was hilarious! 🤣 Definitely a stark reminder of what's happening with our climate. Also, HUGE shoutout to everyone who steered you towards the jelly babies! They seem like essential gear now. 😉

Murray and Gerry in Glen Coe off on a winter climb armed with a replenished stock of iron bru jelly babies, it doesn't get any better then this! 😁👌. Throughly enjoyed this adventure, the banter between you and Gerry is comedy gold 😂. We do agree about the milder winters, it is a concern what future generations are going to face on the mountains, will there even be any snow left 😮 🏔 ❄️. Thanks for taking us along as ever Murray👍

Thank you Murray, thank you Gerry, glad the stocks of the wee orange jelly things are full, emergency over!, wish I had the skill to do a climb like that, I don't 🤣 I know what you mean about the mic, forced to buy two to get stereo, they need to sort it out aye...winters are definitely milder, we had no ground snow at all this year apart from the high tops Merrick, Shalloch etc, and that only lasted 4 days and it melted🥹 (there, I can shut up talking now I have done all the comments on those I missed)

You hardly have to scrape your windscreens anymore at sea level central Scotland between October and March. Living at the base of the Ochils, you really notice the lack of snow over the winters now, and how quickly it disappears. Ben Cleuch used to have a bank of snow just under the summit that appeared every year in the past, and I have a few photos at Easter time with it in the background . The winters of 2010 and 2011 were the last time I can remember snow ploughs in Clackmannan, gritters occasionally, snow ploughs? No.

Loved this guy's, was interesting to see it in winter conditions. I done the two munros in July via Stob Coire nan Lochan and I'm not quite sure whether we ascended broad gully or to the right hand side of the crags but I remember standing in amazement looking at the crags of how wonderful they looked, almost like an amphitheatre. Came across a few frogs near the waters edge which was nice to see after a long time. Excellent video as always Murray. Thanks

Jealous! We've had nothing but rain Murray, 2 inches of water covering everything in the Lakes at the moment I believe now that all scrambles and gully climbs should be regraded immediately - no more 'Grade 1/2/3' etc and they shall all be graded by the 'Jelly Baby Scale' of how many Jelly Babies are required for a successful ascent 😁

Record breaking high temperatures year on year, significantly lower levels of snow and pretty much a serious scientific concencous are, shall we say clear evidence that you prefer to hang on to the fossil fuel $billions backed agenda. The issue isn't even vaguely controversial outside the US.
