Used to watch these at Newcastle when i was a kid with my dad. Loved the sound as they pulled away, if i was lucky we got a ride back to Sunderland on one!

Good video, I recognise quite clearly the part of which was taken of the trains near where I live, the bridge over the railway on the 'back road' from Condorrat to Airdrie, both before and after the line was electicfied
