But the poll didn't ask if they liked Scott Adams. They asked what black people thought of white people. Of all the blacks who were asked, more than 50% were racist towards white people. In light of that, Scott's reaction is understandable. Of course, that doesn't mean that all black people are racist against whites - but it's about taking precautions and if you, as a white person, live in a black area, you are at risk of being exposed to hate crime. I grew up in NY. And I'll be honest, one of the reasons why I left was due to all the black crime in my city. You didn't know if you were going to get randomly shot or stabbed where I lived. Shortly after I left NY, my friend was murdered by two black guys. And there was no justice for him, because the city didn't want to increase racial tensions. And this was back in 2008... I have no problem with black Conservatives or Libertarians. Even though I'm not Christian. I love both groups. But black liberals... I have had issues with this group since I was little, because I was bullied by black liberals. And I had a black gf until her father found out, because he was a racist piece of crap. That was the last straw for me. I understand where Scott is coming from. If you live in a major blue city and are surrounded by black liberals, then I would have to agree with him. Because when the crap hits the fan in this country, then the vast majority of the black community will go tribal. Most modern white people won't be able to handle it. But it's completely different with black Conservatives and Libertarians. Unfortunately, you guys only make up about 10% of the black community. So, this is where I disagree with Scott. If you are surrounded by black Conservatives or Libertarians, then there isn't a problem. These groups have a different mentality than their liberal counterparts. It just comes down to surrounding yourself with like-minded people and race doesn't matter for that. Race is only a real issue in this country if you live in a major blue city that is densely populated. Or if you live in a part of the country that tends to be racist. I currently live in a red Southwest state and black people have never been an issue here. Illegals are another story though... lol One of my favorite singers is Chris Hart (the one that operates in Japan). If the black community gave off his vibe, then I think things would be different. Well said Zeek, I appreciate your work. I think a lot of other people misunderstand Scott Adams, for a start a lot of what he says is dry humour, but his general take was IF this poll is a representation of black America and almost 50% either don't think it is okay to be white or just as bad that they don't know if it is okay to be white, then it is better he moves to a area where a lot of people won't hate him for his skin colour. He didn't mention any violence, just a peaceful way to not always be wondering if many of the population will be hating you purely for skin colour, if the poll is to be accurate of the general population. Yes, 53% were okay with people being white, but why risk it when 47% of them aren't. Again, it was a generalised comment, not to be taken fully seriously, but at the same time he is being semi-serious and speaking some truth. What I think is fascinating is that the media hated on Scott without caring at all about the alarming poll results. Could you imagine if a professional Rasmussen poll (like this one was) said that 47% of white people polled didn't think it was okay to be black, the media would be attacking those polled, not any commentator who told black people to move away from whites.

I've never thought of myself or considered myself racist once in my life. Over the past 2-3 years there have been several times where I looked in the mirror and wondered if that was true. I find myself getting more and more upset when I hear how being white is somehow inherently bad and how I'm somehow at fault for the color of my skin. I'm still confident that I am not a racist, but I'd be lying if I said that there isn't some internal flame of disdain growing for anyone that speaks ill of me or I'll of others that look like me. There are organisations and individuals who makes millions of dollars a year based on "fighting racism" and race theory. It's the same as homelessness. If you cleaned it up and said the problem is solved then that wouldn't be good for some peoples bank accounts.

Just earned my sub. I’ve been subbing to all the channels like yours I could find that do a great job of exercising tolerance, compassion, discernment and wisdom in approaching these topics. It breaks my heart to see this. It’s so easy to just react to things like this with anger and frustration, but it requires an almost superhuman level of empathy and reflection. It’s such a challenging struggle as a society. We just need to keep working and listening to each other.

Good Talk, and you picked up on it quicker than I did. I had to watch the Scott Adams Hotep Jesus interview to appreciate what Scott did and what it's going to cost him to reveal knee-jerk virtue signaling and how, with the media, it makes money by finding problems where there are none, and where a problem exists inflaming it beyond all repair.

Thanks for your thoughts. Expanding on them, I have found that grievance influencers, whether it be news, opinion, education, or entertainment, have created a hyper-sensitive society where any thoughtful or complex comment is susceptible to being considered offensive by someone. It makes it impossible to have such conversations, such as regarding poverty, drugs, education, etc.

Here’s my take, and my OPINION: Throughout his entire adult life Scott has considered himself a strong supporter of Black people - actually, I’d say that he even considered himself more than a supporter. I have no idea what he has or has not done in terms of that support, but based on things he’s said over the years, I’ve definitely gotten the impression that he considered himself an advocate - in other words, he did not consider himself just a passive supporter. He considered himself actively dedicated in his support. So, I think Scott was STUNNED & deeply hurt when he saw that poll. Now, my question for Scott would’ve been, “Why the hell do you still trusts polls?”-but whatever. Regardless, that poll affected him negatively & profoundly. I think the poll convinced him (in the moment, at least) that half of all black people viewed him no differently than a true racist, and it blew his mind. His hurt (primary emotion) morphed into anger & rage (secondary emotion), and he felt compelled to publicly vent about the hypocrisy, among other things. What we witnessed was the blackpilling of Scott Adams (NO pun intended). That altered worldview inspired him to make a public statement kamikaze style-and if he ended up sacrificing Dilbert & his career, then so be it. I empathize with his point of view-but here is where he deserves criticism, in my OPINION…. I feel VERY connected to Black conservatives & black patriots. I admire them because typically they are overflowing with several of the character traits I value most-like common sense, independent- & critical-thinking, respect for our nation, accountability for self & others, belief in the ability to improve oneself slowly & steadily with each good decision made, anti-bullsh*t, anti-woke, etc. Sadly, being a black conservative-or even a patriotic black Independent-really IS still going against the grain. The ones who choose to go against the grain anyway are leaders. True leaders. They give me hope & I just genuinely have a lot of love & appreciation for them. So, that’s the problem I see with what Scott said: He did not, in my OPINION, make the distinction nearly clear enough that he was specifically referring to the black people involved in that poll & anyone else who holds on to that same sort of brainwashed mentality. Black conservatives are solid af & we ought to acknowledge them when venting about how fed up we are with this anti-white trend or movement, or whatever it is♥️

There was no confusion about who Scott was referring to. We all understand the nature of problem he was highlighting and the players involved
@saraohara2504 Жыл бұрын
@M M Hey I’m with you & definitely not against you. But when someone like Scott Adams publicly blows off steam & calls out hypocrisy boldly like he did, the response people have can never be accurately described in absolute statements. So, it’s untrue that “we all understand” & “there’s no confusion.” Perfect understanding totally in sync with one another is more dystopian than utopian anyway.
@smak387 Жыл бұрын
@@saraohara2504 he could have been more clear but do you think he would have received any less heat?
@saraohara2504 Жыл бұрын
@M M well….that’s a good question. I think so. I think he could have emphasized certain of his points a lot more & toned down or removed other points, and then I believe he would have escaped the Dilbert cancellation. But hey, if he felt he needed to say exactly what he said, in exactly the way he said it, then do be it - free speech baby. But if it were me. If I had that big platform, I would’ve just gone off about the poll result itself, and I would’ve emphasized the question, u know, “what the hell is this? & who could possibly deny the racism toward white people indicated by these poll results?” I would have chosen to skip the “they can’t be helped”… “get the hell away” & stuff like that that he said
@smak387 Жыл бұрын
@Sara Ohara I suspect that anything he said about the poll would have drawn scrutiny. That is the point with post-modernism and Marxism: if anyone commits the crime of even noticing what you are doing, they are guilty as well. Its like Orwell said..day by day they change history, language and society, but you are NOT supposed to notice. If you notice they shifted the definition of racism to allow it on a one way road, you are just as guilty as Scott is for saying the rediculous things he said. YOU are "sick in the head" or a "conspiracy theorist" if you notice their revolution. In summary, his great crime is noticing. The poll maker is also now in trouble too. Marxists want all of this to go unnoticed so they can have their revolution without interference. If you read your intial comment again, you will see that even we temper our genuine criticism to make the Marxists more confortable!!

The poll is questionable, but it's pretty clear race relations are absolutely fucked up in the US, to a degree that there's always some weird tensions in any interracial interaction. Scott definitely expressed his point in a 'career-suicidal' sort of way though, for whatever reason (either because he's old and wants to retire anyway, or who knows why)

I've watched him off and on for a few years and while I don't agree with a lot of his opinions on science and religion, I know he's not a racist. Every black friend I have admitted to me that the poll is probably accurate, if not even lower than it should be. I still hang out with my friends(who are demonstrably smart, hardworking, and of good character, and who themselves got away from their own majority neighborhoods) but pattern recognition as a basis for self preservation isn’t something that’s gonna go away. It just is what it is, no hate, just an uncomfortable reality we have to navigate to keep our families safe.

The problem is having the definition of racism changed to simply existing. Can’t see how anyone who loves all people would or could be happy about that. Many were raised to see color as superficial and character as key. Hard to change a lifetime of that overnight to accept being called something that you see as pure evil. If it’s privilege to have never identified yourself by the color of your skin, that’s privilege everyone should have. This idea that re-racializing the country is the way to go, seems extremely unwise, given our history. There has to be a better way.

"you don't get what you deserve in life, you get what you negotiate"... So many tribes have done a great job of this...as a native yourself you likely know how wealthy some of these tribes are. @@jamesmoore4397 Truth.... while most natives live is squalor. The price of gas is a killer for most natives. Being displaced from most large cities. My tribe is a bit isolated in northern Nevada. Going to Walmart or Home depot for supplies is almost 100 miles round trip and a tow to the shop is many hundreds of $$. My tribal land is gorgeous and truly heaven but I don't live on the tribe. I was adopted by wonderful white people and live out of state in Utah. I mis and love my adoptive parents. ♥ Again great analysis although I've given up on watching Scott. He's not a good person. First of all, I can say that your reaction to Scott Adams was much more rational than every newspaper editor in America, who I’m just going take a wild guess and say are mostly white and liberal. I heard you say you were angry the first time you heard what Adams said. But then you let your emotions cool off and allowed yourself to get collected and then took in the CONTEXT of what Mr. Adams was saying, and said,”he’s not wrong.” Thank you for bursting the fake news media bubble and listening to what Scott Adams really said. I was never called a racist until social media came around. Since social media came around I have been called "racist" and horrible anti-White slurs thousands of times. Perhaps tens of thousands of times. You know, man, it doesn't feel good. I worked in a club in a highly Black area for years. The level of hostility and hatred I experienced was insane and totally irrational. It's simply not pleasant to have to endure constant threats of violence and constant attacks on one's character. Why would I want to be around that when I can be in an environment that is safe, clean, friendly, and respectful?
