Sahan You are porbably new with this since you are asking that, so heres my advice, don’t worry about being too flexible when kicking worry about your technique especially how you pivot with your foot and how your hips open up, my advice go watch grantstevens he could teach you something you might need, point is flexibility is not that important be efficient with your techniques, techniques are the foundation you build your martial arts in you need that solid foundation before you do any conditioning.

Best way I got height in my kicks is front and side high knee raises and dynamic stretches before a workout and static stretches in the evening. Check out 30 yoga flexibility on KZbin and it will help, also work on hip opening stretches . I’m 6ft and could only kick at hobbit height ... now I can kick at human height ! Practice daily ... don’t workout .. Train !!! There is a huge difference in mindset and flexibility will come brother! Also stretch after a hot bath as muscles are warm and relaxed . Check out ginger ninja trickster he has great stretches. Remember technique beats everything else. OSS!!

Marian Paździoch no problems brother! Train hard and have patience... it will come. Understand YOUR body and it will unlock a deeper understanding in all your training. Even Bruce lee was a beginner once!. Be safe and good luck on your journey ! Also you don’t need to be able to do the splits in order to kick the head , it’s more about mobility in the joints and range of motion more than muscle flexibility, not to say you don’t need flexible muscles. Try PNF stretches also! But do these when fully warm!

What an amazing video series. Scott please can you teach us the front push kick aka ‘teep kick’. That would be very kind of you. Keep up the great work- just amazing!
@bakerfresh2 жыл бұрын
An effective way for power with a front is to think of it like an uppercut. As you'd turn and thrust your hips up, do that with your knee and let the foot fly up right as the hip turns from the hip. Heel can get more surface, ball can really dig in. Especially if you go from belly button or lower up into solar plexus.

Always awestruck with the kicks that you throw in the films. How wonderfully you broke it down and made it seem so easy. Its one thing to do it yourself but its so hard to instruct, so others also get it. For example, the turning, head turn and the elbow. Humbled. Thanks. Respect.
