Okay I am SO grateful I read this book with the book club because I think I wouldn't nearly have appreciated it as much without you guys. Loved all the insights and the little peek behind the curtain of Scott's writing process. This story will haunt me for a while to come, so much food for thought! Thanks for hosting 😍

Watched the spoiler-free part and it was amazing! Definitely am finding this book interesting. And loved the Cormac reference from the Missus!

I am so glad for this. Even though I'm up to my tail in other things and haven't read this book yet, hearing Scott talk about his process and his relationship to writing as an art form is invaluable to folks like me. Thank you so much

What a lovely talk you all had. I feel like I understand the book better for watching, especially given how you each approached your questions from different angles, and how easily he switched between them. And on the one hand, I understand Amy's fury at him having no formal training; but on the other hand, it gives plebeians such as myself a shred of hope that we, too, can have her chasing John down the hall. I guess my only disappointment, said groofay with all the literary gravitas they could hope to muster, is knowing he's wasting ink on quotation marks in the next book. But I'll buy and read it anyway.

Thank you guys for picking this book for book club. Not something I would ever have even heard about and I am really glad I got around to reading it. Really enjoyed the discussion too! Will be keeping an eye out for Scott’s next book.

As will we. The best part of book club with the Mrs is it takes me to places I wouldn’t have gone with my reading. So glad it does the same for you!

Precocious child. When I was 4-5 years old (in kindergarten), I didn't read books from the series, in fact I didn't read at all. Stories were read to me or I had slides of stories read by my father.

Jimmy Fallon running down the hall waving a book at you is strange. Oprah running down the hall waving a book at you is...well. pretty funny and terrifying as well. The missus running down the hall waving a book at you is all gravy.
