CDs in my car, vinyl at home, youtube on my phone: this glorified East Texan has been expressing my deepest fears and feelings for many years now. Hiram Biram, if you're reading this, I'd like to book you for a show at my little garage in Silver City, NM. I'll happily pay your asking price, and throw in an oil change & grease job just to sweeten the deal. TODD'S AXIS MOTORS couldn't be the worst gig you ever played; remember that tattoo parlor in Glendale, AZ? I was your biggest fan there, if I do say so...

i'm not easy to impress with music.i'm very picky.top of the list in my music catalog are zz top waylon jennings steve earle billy joe shaver and hank 3 if that gives you any insight.all i can say about this is wow.it gave me goose bumps and brought a tear to my eye.it's right up there with townes van zandt.5 stars all day long.

just now found out about scott h. biram.i guess he's like so many others i've tried on here.i find one good song that is just so cool and then everything else they've got is dog shit or close to dog shit or maybe just "kind of okay" no difference here.this song is a gold nugget in a heaping pile of dog shit.'sigh' what a shame.and it started out so well.slow and easy is the only other song that even comes close to being this good.
@todddennehy8043 жыл бұрын
@@MGarrison this is average material for him in my opinion. Maybe dig a little deeper. I've heard similar remarks made about Hank III and I defended his artistry, too. Been listening since his first one man band cd showed up as a free promo at our tiny community radio station. Dude is a real talisman of today's lost souls. I notice you listed some great names, but not Hayes Carll, not Ray Wylie Hubbard, not Robert Earl Keen, not Ryan Bingham. They're not mainstream enough for ya??? Ha! I'm not impressed either, brother. Very creative of you to use "dog shit" three times in one whining paragraph. You're a real poet, and a critic to boot!
@MGarrison3 жыл бұрын
@@todddennehy804 no need to be rude. I am/was probably more of a fan of everyone you mentioned with the exception of ryan bingham than you are, he's just got to many ballads for my liking. I am a music snob. And as far as hayes carll is concerned I used to listen to him all the time until I heard about his so called "song" fragile man two days before I went to see him in nashville. When he went to sing his " song" he introduced it with the slur " this one goes out to Alex jones." I yelled out" little rock" twice in 20 minutes to which he replied the second time, "your request has been noted, no need to repeat" then he never played it. He can kiss my ass, as much of a huge talent as he is and as much of a huge fan as I was, I'm through. I am a staunch patriot and apparently he's a leftist asshole, such a shame. And as far as I'm concerned I've dug deep enough when it comes to biram. If he's so great give me an example and I'll check it out but opinions are like cell phones and assholes. And I absolutely positively despise mainstream. Oh and I'm also a huge robert earl keen fan, been to see him to he was awesome. If you haven't listened to Chris Knight or billy joe shaver check them out.

Well I ain't never coming home, this things become from such a long time Guess I'm better on my own Be the part of.. Is nothing left for me back then Heartache and wearing soul Just me myself and I I just never coming home I wake up thinking in my soul I thought I die somewhere in the night Guess I just keep tripping on I know we want to do it right So watch it high light so long by They chasing white lines to the dawn I don't know where else Cuz no I never coming home Yeah I never come home I'm never coming home I never come home Weathered pages on my life, scatter up on the wind Still hard to say goodbye, these things will never happen again We all ..just too late They turning type but just too strong Put so heavy on my heart They shut me, I'm losing and I go on Yeah I never come home I'm never coming home I never come home I'm never coming home I never come home I'm never coming home

I should be flogged for not checking in with you for so long sir. Might have something to do with not investing in Coors light anymore, 2 & 1/2 yrs ago, and even going back to church recently! This and Got to Get to Heaven, mercy. Takes me back to Lost Case of Being Found first time...live. We went to see Shooter in Fayetteville in '09? maybe. Decided to turn around and go see him again the next night in OKC. Thought we had missed who opened when a guy come out that I assumed roadie. Proceeded to show no mercy to those two Gibson's. Went to see Shooter and you at Cain's a couple yrs later. Shooter opened. What the? Not long after the show started, I realized you were standing beside me all of a sudden! You had got lost. I said you could come set up at my house. Year or however many later you played in one of the units in a commercial steel building that was a bar in west Tulsa. Kids were in there dancing around somehow I remember! Shot the bull with you then. And invested in so much Coors light I had to beg that woman to come get me and take me back to get my car the next day. Good times! Invitation still wide open to set up at my place anytime. "Nobody likes ya' everybody hates ya' your gonna lose....smile ya' f***!" Bruce Willis, The Last Boy Scout. Old mean man out!!
